Rawnsley Bluff by golftragic
Another shot taken from the bus at highway speed on the road from Wilpena Pound. Rawnsley Bluff forms part of the outer face of the amphitheatre's rocky formation.

Wow love the light on the rocks - great ride by shot. It all looks so remote - not the place to break down or get lost!

Beautiful layers of texture and colour, lovely light too. I like the movement of the trees.

@pamknowler It's remote all right, and not to be taken lightly. But despite the limitations modern communications have made travelling here much safer. Being bitumen this road has sparse but significant traffic transversing it, travellers and locals. You'd just have to sit pat and wait.

@ludwigsdiana It's a beautiful part of the world.

@yaorenliu Yes, probably at 100 or 110Km/h, whichever's the speed limit there.

@momamo It's so rugged, yet so beautiful.

@summerfield Thanks Vikki. I wasn't expecting the drive-by shots to come out as well as they did. Or should I say as well as some of them did.

@angelikavr Thanks Angelika.

@fbailey Most of the inland is far flatter than this bit.
July 11th, 2019
@joysabin We were moving along pretty darned fast. My camera did a surprisingly good job to get some reasonable shots. I thought they'd all be duds.
July 11th, 2019
@robz Yep, ya got it in one.
July 11th, 2019
Spectacular seems too simplistic an adjective.
July 11th, 2019
@olivetreeann You've got the right word for it Ann. It is spectacular.
