A significant part of the track leading to Cape Pillar was built as a boardwalk in the dense vegetation. And the steps were marked in yellow strips for safety. Cape Pillar can be hiked for free while camping at the basic campsites but it is also included in the famous Three Capes Walk where you are walking 48 km and spending three nights in the nice huts with beds, kitchen and showers. It may cost between $500 up to $2000 if you choose to have dinner cooked for you.
