tell me if you have a name suggestion for this photo :)

I never know what to name photos of plants/flowers....like "this is pretty. it's a plant. I took this shot 'cause it's macro day for the 'one night stand' challenge. I took it with my long lens, because I don't have a macro lens. but that's ok, because this long lens is a special one that can do macro. well, all long lenses might be able to do macro. I don't know. but probably. I was borrowing a macro lens. and that was real cool."

oh hey. I reeeeally want you to critique my photographs. like I seriously want you to. yeah, you can tell me that it's an OK photo, but what I really want is you to tell me I could do better. well, I already know that this photo could have been lots better, but I want you to tell me HOW it could be better. so. can you do that for me, if you don't mind?
Grace, I have to disappoint you, for I cant give you advise for making it better... I think your composition is perfect - the diagonal and the location of the focus. The colours look so good together and I love the buds. With macro lens you perhaps would have achieved a little sharper image, but I can't critique your lens...

You've picked a beautiful photo to critique. I'm not going to be much help because you take better photos than I do, as it is. :) Seeds of Love is a name that jumps out of me because the colors are so romantic and the focus is on those center parts, although, are they even seeds? Lovely work, Grace!

A giant watermark.....just kidding! I don't think there is much you can do with this one to make it better. My only suggestion is to crop a little of the left side and a little off the bottom to put the in focus buds nearer the bottom corner.....if you look up the golden spiral, it might make more sense....but it is super close to that ratio anyway. And the 30 day free trial of Lightroom has a golden spiral crop overlay so you can get it perfect when you go to crop.

Well Grace, sure I wish I could critique your photo, but I have nothing to say... first because you are so much talented, and second because, once agin, I love your shot... Sorry... ;o)

this is really nice, Grace. The focus area is just perfect. Did you alter the colors at all? I think if it were mine, I would look at the color harmony - with a strong purple and green scheme, orange is the appropriate compliment for the full triad harmony. wondering if you could adjust the small pink spots to have more yellow in them? :)

@shadesofgrey I was going to suggest cropping for the golen spiral, too, but then I thought I would be disappointed to miss out on the purple blur at the bottom of the photo. Maybe you could do just enough to achieve both? @sdpace I never would have thought about selectively playing with the color of the center parts, but I like the idea of adding the yellow compliment to these hues!

This is beautiful. I love the softness of it, the color tones, and the dof. I wish I could offer some helpful critque, but I wouldn't know how to improve it.

Love the subdued tones of this photograph. Most would have gone further & saturated it. No harm in doing so but it looks good subdued. A slight diagonal crop from bottom left will strengthen the composition further. Good one. :)

This is nice. I'd probably crop some of the top off, but that's just personal preference. And it reminds me of the popcorn that doesn't pop all the way., so I'd call it "unpopped". But I'm kinda weird. My goal when giving a title is to maybe allude to some aspect of the picture that I really like, but not be too obvious: To maybe spark a new way of looking at it for the viewer.
