Nice composite, Grace! Which "Nifty Fifty" did you get? You're going to love shooting with a prime lens. :)

@kannafoot thanks! it's a film one, so I'm using a adapter for it. I didn't get it new, a friend is letting me use it for as long as I'd like, so I don't know all the details about it :) I believe this is it right here:

@gracej Oh, that brings back memories! My very first SLR was a Pentax, and the 50mm f2 was the standard prime focus lens for it. If you're ever looking for one to go with your Rebel, keep an eye on the used departments at B&H and Adorama. (I think you're in the US, if I remember right.) Both of those companies are very reputable and they screen the used gear before they accept it. This is a really nice 50mm for a Canon DSLR:

Great shots Grace.

Nice collage. The one on the right is my favorite. I like the curved path background and colour tones. I also have a thing for shots where people's heads have been cropped.

You have such a great relationship with your bro - if only I were that close to my siblings! Lovely shot Grace xx

super-great.
Who is SM?
Big Ron is right the f1.4 is nice, but its three times what you'd pay for an f1.8 so get saving.

@chewyteeth um, no. it isn't her. and I actually hadn't heard of her. but after I looked at her photos, I was amazed. they're beautiful, and draw you in, in a wonderful way. thanks for introducing me to her. you've been doing that a lot for me, with your whole photographer project thing.

I almost used my nifty fifty in every day of my 365 :) Even if the photo asks for a wide angle you make it take a 50mm haha :)

@captivebylife HEY!! thanks for all the comments, I love them :) how nice of you. and YESSSS, I know what you mean, now that I got the 50mm it has to work for every shot, because it pretty much stays on my camera all the time.
