This is Dawson Falls, an 18 metre waterfall on Mount Taranaki named after Thomas Dawson, the first European to see them. The Maori name is Te Rere O Noke, name after a maori who hide behind the falls to escape his enemies. Personally I think that they should be called "Sweet mother of god those stairs are steep Falls". My thighs were quivering by the time I climbed back to the top...although I now have the ability to crack walnuts between them...

@annied@gigiflower As with all of the women in my life I will (and this a promise) disappoint you. The only steel that my thighs a close too resembling is aluminium in their soft pliability and my sense of rhythm is akin to a slug trying to dance to Saturday Night Fever.
