It was my first day back at work today and by mid-morning I had already had enough. I fail to see why, in my absence, it becomes acceptable for my desk and office to become a dumping ground for things which no one can be bothered dealing with. I was disgruntled, out of sorts and ever so slightly miffed so I decided to go for a jaunt out to Waiwakaiho, one of our many local beaches and have me some calm. Deep breaths and all that. Bah.
Best against the black again, and have a super fab and groovy day.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
@kamen088 Thanks very much, and not really - I just started throwing rocks at things.... @scolgs Thanks very much - I did get a couple of shots with about 50 birds in flight but I liked this one best. The colour is just a yellow filter as the sky was quite dull without @ukandie1 Thanks - I cheated and used a filter otherwise it was grey, grey, grey @kt8ird Thanks very much - I've thrown most of them at passing strangers now. @hermann Ah. See, I've been doing in with hate, out with the love. Dand. And thanks very much :) @skstein Thanks very much - we're pretty lucky really. Sadly when the waste water treatment plant malfunctions this is where it tends to end up...this is one beach where I wouldn't swim or eat from ;(
Neither do I..... We must try harder with our writing to put it across...... I'm sure if you tried hard enough you could squeeze a little fab and groovy feeling out.... No? Oh well always tomorrow....
@andrewkru Thanks - I cheated and used a filter. It was either that or go with overpowering grey... @newbank If I strain myself too much god only knows what I'll end up squeezing out @annied I wish I could have a big glass of wine. I'm about to head off to camera club for my fortnightly dose of criticism and mockery thinly disguised as "critique"
@newbank I am a tad concerned we haven't heard from @gigiflower - I think she has been abducted - or - locked in a room and forced to answer ridiculously mundane questions about unimportant issues - SAM????? Are you ok?
@dougapic Thanks very much - it was either use the filter or put up with a grey sky, and for some reason the yellow just seemed to work... @shannejw It seemed to do the trick, at least for a short while... @kt8ird Thanks very much...the birds move too quickly for me :( @wearing0 Thanks very much - I'm sure it will improve...I'm out of the office all day tomorrow on the road, so the politics and pettiness can just go and do whatever it is they do for the time being. @deliad Thank you very much :) @annied@newbank So.....we submitted photos tonight for critique in 2 weeks, with the "theme" of versatility - very difficult for me as most of mine aren't very versatile. Tonight's presentation was on mono and Lo & Behold, up on the big screen is one of my shots that was slated by the art teacher, but this week they were raving about it. It would seem the twats are fickle as well. As for Sam, or @gigiflower if I must be forced to get her attention. I always worry when she goes quiet...
@annied me too!!! She never replied yesterday....I think she needs to attend meetings should she resurface with an oxygen tank with her....@gigiflower where are you?????
Fickle indeed. At least you know where you stand with us groupies. Well apart from when @gigiflower goes awol.... Congrats. My hubby says I need to apologise for threatening you with our 2 yr old....
@graemestevens@newbank@annied My dear friends - I have resurfaced, at home now. So this afternoon I LIED to the whole management team about the time of my flight, just so I could leave the meeting 50 minutes BEFORE it finished. Then of course, as karma may have it, when I got to the airport, my flight had been delayed by 60 minutes HAHAHAH. So lucky I'm a VIP and have platinum frequent flyer so instead of ranting and raving about a late flight, I went and drank some wine and had some really bad Qantas Business Class Lounge food. But it didn't matter because it was free. I then had another glass of wine before getting on my flight which was lucky because the plane sat on the tarmac for another 30 minutes. Which taught me two great lessons in life - never lie to get out of meetings............and have more wine than usual because you can guarantee that the flight won't leave on time. Anyway I will be resuming normal service tomorrow as I'm refusing to go into the office tomorrow given that I have completed a 15 hour day with travel (and wine). I'm just well and truly over it. And I wanted to swear then but I won't because I'm a lady. So I will say TWAT instead and not feel better because of it.
@newbank@annied@graemestevens Mmm, TWATTLE - is not just rude enough, even with exclamation marks! I'm like a monster tonight. I fear for my husband :)
@gigiflower oh you are in a bad way - I felt somewhat similar in class this afternoon - had to contain myself as it is frowned upon to behave badly in front of children - even if they don't listen and you have to say things a thousand times
@newbank@annied What is a giddy Aunt? Is that a relative that makes you laugh?
@annied@newbank Yes, it's bad. I'm talking really bad. Worse than a 2 year old. I'm roaring around the house - my darling husband is playing one of his guitars to try and calm me down. He will survive but others may not. If you wake up to bad headlines in the News tomorrow, don't automatically think of me ok?
@annied@newbank A giddy Aunt? No, I've never tried laughing at my Auntie - more so because I don't have an Aunt! But I'm thinking of inventing one, just so I can get giddy with her. Is that giddy with love, or giddy because I've spun her around in a circle. I'm a bit lost on this one!
@annied@gigiflower giddy aunt....no idea just a polite word that comes out around kids rather than other language though at present trying to refrain from anything as eldest started saying giddy aunt....I now employ v v v v deep breathing techniques....which helps. A lot. When my two year old needs calming down from his terror rages he is removed to his room to think and calm down. Normally results in pleas for a cuddle to calm himself down.... So maybe hubby could shut you in a room and you could ask for a cuddle to calm down? No.....I guess not. Perhaps that only works with two year olds. Hmm....
@newbank HAHAHAH that's the best pretend word EVER!!! And it made me smile and laugh and automatically feel better!! See, I'm a child at heart :) My gorgeous husband is an insomniac however he has just suggested that we go to bed.........which is very unusual as he doesn't sleep at this hour! He realises how gruesome I am tonight! HAHAH, I'm so very naughty. I can feel myself coming back to "normal" :)
@lynnilou Thanks very much, it could only improve... @happypat Thanks very much - I genuinely enjoy my job but there are just days when I could.... @redpants Thanks very much...all calm now... @tellefella Thanks very much :) @annied@gigiflower@newbank Right, so you left me with a lot of reading this morning, which as always is lovely. But I'm not even going to try and make a relevant comment except to say "good morning ladies"
@graemestevens hahaha two legs but a only one eye ( always thought eye patches were cool ) and a small parrot - or snake - or maybe a spider hahahahaha
@annied I thought eye patches were cool as well - up until about 2 months ago when we started going to camera club...here is a description of one of the perpetrators of cardigan-ness: 5' 3", rad hair in pony tail, grossly over weight yet has the last name Fitness, shambles around in loose fitting jeans and a business shirt mumbling a lot and says "vem" instead of "them" and...wears an eye patch...
@scolgs Thanks very much - I did get a couple of shots with about 50 birds in flight but I liked this one best. The colour is just a yellow filter as the sky was quite dull without

@ceilidh Oh I'm plotting all right, don't you worry about that...and thanks very much
@newbank If I strain myself too much god only knows what I'll end up squeezing out
@annied I wish I could have a big glass of wine. I'm about to head off to camera club for my fortnightly dose of criticism and mockery thinly disguised as "critique"
@shannejw It seemed to do the trick, at least for a short while...
@kt8ird Thanks very much...the birds move too quickly for me :(
@wearing0 Thanks very much - I'm sure it will improve...I'm out of the office all day tomorrow on the road, so the politics and pettiness can just go and do whatever it is they do for the time being.
@deliad Thank you very much :)

yes - quiet is a concern - what is she up to?
Try TWATTLE!!!!!!! capitals and exclamations - it may work - sleep well and wake refreshed
@annied @newbank Yes, it's bad. I'm talking really bad. Worse than a 2 year old. I'm roaring around the house - my darling husband is playing one of his guitars to try and calm me down. @pittcj17 Thank you very much
@roseolivia Thank you very much indeed
@bill_fe @gigiflower @annied @newbank I forget what the hell I'm doing here most days as well...I blame the ladies entirely
@gigiflower Oh boo hoo. Suck it up.
hahahahahahahaa I feel like a pirate now
@annied @gigiflower Yes, in some cases...yes
