Right...so this is how my morning started. This is SOOC because I seem to have become technologically challenged overnight.
According to my shiny new Apple I need flash player to upload a photo to this site...haven't figured a way around that dilemma yet.
According to Lightroom, when I try to "export" or save an edited photo to my external drive so that I can upload it here, my drive is "unwriteable".
Several words and phrases have sprung to mind, none of which have been charitable, as I have spent the last hour editing this shot only for it to be unusable. So have this instead while I go and kill someone. Slowly.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
Still revving then Graeme!
Lovely photo of your world. Those rays are shining down on you giving you some good vibes! The group of birds in the clouds are a perfect addition! Lovely !
@julzmaioro Thanks very much @gigiflower I'm not entirely sure, but I feel like talking like an 18th Century prospector tonight @deliad Thanks very much
Welcome to the wonderful world of Apple where you never have any idea of what is happening or why it is happening. Reason why I am happy to stick with MS - much and all as I dislike them. Nice shot BTW Graeme
@terryliv Oh. Was it an orchard? ;) @creativefool Half way there...and thanks @terryliv@newbank I think I have solved the problem, so here's to tomorrows shot!
@terryliv Ah...one of those ;) @newbank@terryliv Just out of interest, I just did a trial run of sorts and I have solved the problem...all due respect should be forwarded to my immense intellect. Learning a new operating system and editing suite at the same time...probably never going to happen again!!!!
@graemestevens Everyone is busy making smart arse comments Graeme but no favs yet so I'll give you one for the shot and for you outstanding intelligence
oh phhhtttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have 20 - yes 20 expletives I could use - this image will all your complaining - is better than anything I can come up with so :-P to you
like it yAH big whinger
@pinkpaintpot Thanks very much - a harsh lesson in being posh ;) @brigette Thanks - I actually get a bit of a kick when I'm happy (ish) to go with SOOC @newbank I'll try not to disappoint...then again, with the mood I'm in... @annied Phhhtttttt? Have you got a slow leak or something? And plans for killing someone are still in place @andreajoy thank you very much :)
Looks good to me also, I hope you've calmed down a bit before anyone was injured ... makes me weary of purchasing an editing program, I don't think I would turn into a very nice person. :p
Slowly is the only preferable way to kill someone when angry, imo. Too fast and I'm still angry. There's no fun in that unless I kill again...and again...and again. You see the problem inherent in this. It really diminishes my circle of friends. I've learned that a good, drawn-out, slow killing makes me feel better and I keep more friends. Yep. The only way to go.
ah...the pic. I, personally, think it's stunning sooc. I wouldn't have spent an hour on perfecting nature. Just sayin' from a safe distance (like an ocean apart).
I also like that @hermann knows the word crepuscular!
I really love the light on the water and the textures in the clouds. I feel your pain on things not working... I can't do any meaningful processing because I just can't figure it out. Even the free software.. and we are an Apple household, too. Can you consult the "Genius Bar" people... or, kill them, slowly??? ;)
@sioux Thanks very much...I still want to kill.... @annied At least it's a slow peak and we have warning.... @hermann Thanks very much...and I love crepuscular! @yrhenwr Thanks very much...surely a little killing can't be that bad... @redpants Thanks very much...it was fine to use, just couldn't make that final step...all sorted now (sad the optimist) @voiceprintz Thanks very much indeed...and yes, a slow killing is the best killing @rosiekerr Thanks very much indeed...I'm afraid if I consult an expert there will be no experts left available for anyone else...pretty sure I have it sorted though. Only time will tell. @dougapic LOL, thanks very much @wearing0 Thanks very much...I believe I've solved the problem, but only time will tell @ceilidh Well that's not very nice ;) And thanks very much! @ukandie1 Thanks very much indeed...
fav - love this - offspring says Apple uses Adobe Flash and that's what you have to download if the browser isn't sending you to the right place. Apple doesn't write to same format as Windows so you need to change the format of the disc drive you save in so Apple can read it.
Adobe.com and find the flash player + trial of Lightbox 5 if you do it now.
@andy3168 Thanks very much @lorrainelouise Thanks very much - I hope so...I think so...we shall see @amandal Thanks very much @shannejw Thanks for that - much appreciated. I'll have to re-format then I guess. Deep joy!
SOOC does it for me with this one Graeme - very moody image. SOOC is stll processed od course, but by the little Japanese chap who lives in your camera - SOOC = Some Other Oriental's Choice ;-)
This is a great shot Graeme, especially since it is SOOC...but kill away my friend, as I know you would photograph that massacre and post it here...can't wait to see those shots :-)
@andrewkru Thanks very much :) @vignouse LOL, love that, must remember it...and thank you very much, as always @davie Thanks very much - I will kill again soon... @denisefuller Thank you very much
@annied Obviously I didn't even notice that my fat fingers had struck again. Not that theres anything wrong with a slow peak, although a slow peek would be better
@graemestevens Bugger! What a perfect snafu. I'm reduced to my 'obsolete' laptop until my iMac is returned to me, but I'll try to google your upload problem and see what I can find out. I've not yet tried LR, so can't help there.
Oh dear, just read the thread, and I've clearly missed the party. Just think of Apple and Adobe as being Israel and Gaza, i.e. not much good at sensible intercommunications.
Oh my gosh can I relate! My adobe flash player is always crashing and what should take 10 minutes sometimes takes me 30! I am learning extreme patience (or becoming a psycho). I really love this shot! The lighting is beautiful! The rays are gorgeous! A fav!
@graemestevens My neighbors are engaging in blatant redneckery. Thought you should know. I think they are paying me back for Ginger the barking wonder.
@kt8ird It will always be there, but they don't always let it out. NZ is pretty special, we lived in the UK for 7 years - you never really appreciate what you have until you go back
