Is it just me or is it hot in here? It's amazing the photo opportunities that present themselves when one is home alone, although halfway through the process my daughter did arrive back, took one look and was suitably "impressed"...
One of my favourite Biffy Clyro songs is "Who's Got a Match" and I've long wanted to do this shot...not to sure on the edit, still fumbling my way around lightroom. Best viewed on black I should think...have a happy day all.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
@brigette Thanks very much - it's actually on Thursday but we had a joint celebration last night with friends that I share a birthday with. @shawnasays Thanks very much :)
well - hmmm - I am suitable impressed and equally intrigued - this is a different kind of hangover - you obviously used the alcohol for purposes other than drinking - I am concerned you indulged in this while home alone - that is how accidents happen - love it
@kt8ird Thank you very much - hopefully this isn't one of those ones that re-light! @tammyputney Thanks very much - go on, treat yourself ;) @annied I had the hose ready and at hand...this is what happens when you drink too much! @ukandie1 Thanks very much :) I do seem to be a little unstable at the best of times... @rosiekerr Thanks very much indeed...I must be getting predictable...
An amazing shot Graeme! Congratulations for even attempting it, let alone capturing such an impressive shot!
I found LR a shocker for 3 months or so - but now .....it is like an old friend who welcomes me back. Happy to help (if I can)... I have had to read & book mark a ton of LR tutorials along the way. And of course...downloaded a swag of presets to try.
The mad scientist is out again! Superb shot Graeme. I really love that you always take time to make a set up for your shot and as always the result is impressive. Well done!
@epcello Thanks very much indeed :) @ltodd Thanks for that - I've got a couple of books and have been trawling my way through tutorials online...it's (so far) going reasonably well but I'll yell in your general direction if I need help - thanks so much for the offer! @daneau Thank you very much - I may have run out of medication... ;) @lwain Thanks very much, appreciated :) @rosiekerr Thanks again :)
Awesome shot, I hope it was done safely :), I don't want to have to turn up with the hose. (That is a long way for a fire call. )
Awesome shot though, and I hope you are having a great birthday.
@cindyloo Thanks, very much :) @karlow75 Safety first and all that - I had my hose at the ready. Needed it too! @eyeamlisa Thank you very much indeed :) @taffy Thanks very much - I sometimes wonder about myself as well... @annied Yes, yes, it could. I'll try for that next time
@annied I have no doubt at all... @tellefella Thank you very much :) @harbie It certainly kept me warm, so it should work...and thanks very much @ounooi Thank you very much, appreciated :)
@creativeaddict Thanks very much - I spent the morning making a "scare crow" of me...a mini me if you like...doused it in petrol and then set it aflame. All in good fun! @ceilidh Thanks very much :)
@deliad Thank you very much :) @hermann Thanks very much indeed...probably too many candles rather than being too close to them! @lisatown Thanks very much - I saw them live in London a few years back, awesome show
@jess1204 Thank you very much - I spent the morning making a "scare crow me" just so that I could set in on fire for a photo...it took all of 30 seconds to be all over. Great fun though!
@graemestevens Excellent. I then look forward to your photos of the Halfway House you have to live at, given you no longer have a roof over your head ;)
Your family must wonder what they're gonna come home to! Great shot though nice detail in the flames. I do think it looks a bit like you've got a horses head to
@pinkpaintpot Thanks very much - I think the neighbours are actually in a state of panic now. @terryliv LOL, that title occurred to me as well :) @peonylane Thanks very much, appreciated @wearing0 I don't think they're surprised anymore...I didn't notice the head until I processed...quite bizarre. And thanks very much :) @mzzhope Thanks very much - my day was on fire ;)
I love the understated words....daughter was suitably impressed.....she obviously knows you well! Yours is the only posting that you are almost compelled to read all the comments to get the full picture. I hope no man was hurt in the making of this picture!
I am so impressed with the answering of our comments...don't know how you do it plus commenting on ours! Have you any time other than 365 ?
@happypat Thanks very much - as for my time, I've almost given up on everything else Internet based with the exception if 365 and researching how to set things on fire without turning myself into a scorched mess!
Happy Birthday, Just realised that there is a great party on. I don't even know how to get my photo on that link. So here is the play to say a big Happy Birthday.
@pittcj17 Thanks very much :) @yaorenliu Thank you very much, much appreciated :) @cailts Thank you very much - I spent the morning building a scare crow me and then doused it in petrol for the photo! Great fun, tad warm.
@bill_fe Thanks very much - it was touch and go for a while there when doing this one. When it went up in a ball of flames I think we nearly lost one of our trees. I'd appreciate it if you could not tell my wife that.
@shawnasays Thanks very much :)
@tammyputney Thanks very much - go on, treat yourself ;)
