Sneak Attack by graemestevens

Sneak Attack

Sneaky little duckers. Things have not improved on the work front and the pressure continues to mount in terms of taking a position that I am not interested in and have no desire to undertake. This morning I was informed that if I did not wish to take the role then I would "stay in exactly the same place as you are now for your remaining time with "
As far as I'm concerned that is manipulative, threatening, coercive behaviour and if there is any of that to be done it will be done by me.
Luckily I'm a big girl now and can fend for myself, but it does make me wonder what sort of Club Membership is required to join the upper echelons of this business.
The dirty duckers.
The photo is great - love the composition and capture......the work thing - wow.......I am not one who likes veiled threats or any sense of retaliation - I suppose telling the to f-off wouldn't help the situation much but would probably feel oh so lovely.....makes me wonder if you peeled off the masks of the upper echelons what you might find under there......ok I'll get off my soap box now......

Your sense of humour and expression makes me laugh. I guess life a s... Butty! Keep snapping, Photos that is.
October 9th, 2014
Awesome shot.
October 9th, 2014
It sounds as if you need to be a goose in a pond full of ducks. Geese are mean f***er's.... Exceptional high key in this image! It's a technique I would like to explore.
October 9th, 2014
Love this composition - it has movement and great interest. fav Get another job with good references now before you break the rules!
October 9th, 2014
@kamen088 Thanks very much - I might have to drop a few geese into their offices...
@epcello Thanks very much indeed :)
@gamelee Life is indeed a s..t but I will keep snapping...something ;) And thanks very much

@amandal No, they're ducks, not rocks ;) Thank you very much, appreciated ;)
@deak68 You'd better get off that soap box, there ain't room for two of us up there!!! And thank you as always :)
October 9th, 2014
@maggiemae Thanks very much - if good jobs were easy to come by...
October 9th, 2014
Wonderful photo! I wish you better days on the work situation!
October 9th, 2014
@angeliekevl Thanks very much on both counts!
October 9th, 2014
Fabulous! FAV!
October 9th, 2014
@graemestevens Crap. I was so confused. Unfav;-).
October 9th, 2014
@amandal LOL, it happens to us all. I could go and throw rocks at them if you like...
@homeschoolmom Thank you so much :)
October 9th, 2014
@graemestevens Score. One point for each. So funny and wrong.
October 9th, 2014
@amandal It is wrong and I should be appalled, and yet...
October 9th, 2014
@graemestevens Can't help from cackling wickedly...I get it:)! I used to have a sling...wonder what happened to that. Like a David and Goliath type thing.
October 9th, 2014
sling shot, that is. Sometimes the mind doesn't work right.
October 9th, 2014
I love this, swim away little Graeme Ducky!
October 9th, 2014
Really like the high key.
October 9th, 2014
Super capture, Graeme.
October 9th, 2014
@amandal My mind never works right ;)
@kt8ird Thanks very much - my little legs are going as fast as they can...
October 9th, 2014
@chippy1402 Thanks very much :)
@bigugly Thank you, always appreciated :)
October 9th, 2014
banzaaaaaaaaaai! awesome capture... i thought of you today as i was travelling home from work making a list of all the things that have annoyed me today... i said to myself: "i wonder what Graeme would do?"

i'm so sorry though that you are being boxed in like that... sadly one's choices in those situations are often rather limited...
October 9th, 2014
@northy Thanks very much - I often wonder what I'd do as well ;) Unfortunately it's looking more and more likely that the box I'm in is only going to get smaller and smaller...
October 9th, 2014
Quacking awesome !!-fav:)
October 9th, 2014
i think they are lucky to have you
magnificent high-key btw
October 9th, 2014
@joemuli Thanks very much ;)
@kali66 Thank you very much indeed
October 9th, 2014
Those duckers! How dare they?? I love how your picture and commentary go so well together. Awesome!
October 9th, 2014
This is amazing and so well done! fav!
October 9th, 2014
@tabarlett Thank you very much :) And yes, the cheek of it!
@nanderson Thanks very much indeed :)
October 9th, 2014
I like the grit within the high-key...metaphoric?
October 9th, 2014
@voiceprintz Thanks...just over processed ;)
October 9th, 2014
Dirty Duckers all right. I just walked out the door one day and never went back. Love the image and fav :)
October 9th, 2014
I do like this. Fav
October 9th, 2014
Sam
Oh I love a bit of emotional blackmail in the workplace!
October 9th, 2014
Pack of thugs!! Is that kind of threatening execrement legal?? Obviously that lot are graduates of the Joe Stalin School of Charm and Deportment.

Love your treatment of these little duckers. How about training them in dive-bombing some select targets??
October 9th, 2014
Fantastic capture!
October 9th, 2014
It's probably not the market to go job hunting either, if NZ at the moment is anything like across the ditch! I love your processing of this image!
October 9th, 2014
Fabulously timed shot and wonderful composition!
October 9th, 2014
Fabulous shot, great play on words too. Looks like you've had plenty of advice from everyone else, so I'll just say call them out on their behaviour, as Marnie said, is what they're doing legal?
October 9th, 2014
Just love the high key. Sorry about work, sounds cr*p.
October 9th, 2014
Great capture, nice high key. fav.
October 9th, 2014
wow very creative. love it.
October 9th, 2014
Love it, would like to see the attact thingy too....yeah I´m so weird ;) The work thing sucks, hang in there and follow your instincts
October 9th, 2014
Great shot, love it. Fav how about this for an idea. Set up your own business, become a billionaire very quickly, buy up the company and sack the duckers
October 9th, 2014
Makes me wonder why you are still with them. Maybe photography is your calling...... nice ducks
October 9th, 2014
That is just v bad behaviour from them. V bad. Poo pants rubbish yuk. Advice? Nothing useful I'm afraid. Just empathy via a phone keypad. Great shot though. Very cool in fact.
October 9th, 2014
Sue
Love the photo, it is brilliant. Workplace bullying sucks. Hang in there and prove them wrong. Or, hang in there till you can find another job that is brilliantly better then stick it up their nose! In the mean time keep on with your fabulous photos.
October 9th, 2014
@hermann Thank you very much, much appreciated :)
@ukandie1 Thanks very much, always appreciated :)
@gigiflower It certainly makes you feel like a valued "team" member. It has been what can best be referred to as a "long day", but I survived.
@golftragic I don't think so at all, but being a corporate giant I'm sure that if I tried anything they would come up with some cunning plan or other. I do like the idea of having an entire squadron of ducks at my command though. It would be immensely useful in so many situations!
@maishanny Thanks very much :)
@tomtom Yes...as in "what job market?" And thanks very much :)
@lisatown Thanks very much, appreciated :)
@dibzgreasley Thanks very much - I plan to do just that next week, in person when they deign to visit. Should be interesting...and thank you very much :)
@rachelwithey Thank you very much - it's crap at the moment, but we all know what Gloria Gaynor said ;)
@jan20 Thank you very much :)
@andrewkru Thanks very much, much appreciated
@susale Thanks very much - its the only thing I know how to do!
@ceilidh Thank you very much - it's no good though...if I follow your plan and buy them I'll only end up using them for my own evil purposes!
@deliad Thanks very much - thing is, I enjoy my job. The part where the politics aren't involved anyway, and the benefits outweigh other issues at the moment. Still. That and the fact that the job market isn't exactly fabulous at the moment. And the excessive pay is quite nice too ;)
@newbank Poo pants rubbish yuk. I love it. And yes, it is shocking behaviour and your empathy is more than appreciated. Also, thanks you very much, always appreciated :)
October 9th, 2014
@sioux Thank you very much indeed. I plan on sticking in there as (most days) I genuinely enjoy what I do. On the other hand, if something did come along I wouldn't be aiming for their noses!
October 9th, 2014
That duck has a very determined look in its eye, not unlike you I imagine with your situation.
October 9th, 2014
@claireuk Something like that...I'm certainly scowling a lot!
October 9th, 2014
A great shot - pity work is such a pain for you at present….
October 9th, 2014
Great capture
October 9th, 2014
@shepherdmanswife Thanks very much :)
@dide Thanks you...I live in hope that it will get better again.
October 9th, 2014
No way! talk about good timing. great shot!
October 9th, 2014
dirty duckers indeed - they need to be disposed of forthwith
October 9th, 2014
@brigette Thanks very much, sheer dumb luck!
@annied If not sooner.
October 9th, 2014
Love the picture and processing. Fav Don't like the attitude of your management. If that's the way they treat their staff it sounds as though they are in the wrong job!!
October 9th, 2014
@graemestevens what is sooner than forthwith - I would love to know for future reference?
October 9th, 2014
@graemestevens ps.. great processing choice
October 9th, 2014
Awesome shot. Great context behind it as well. It sounds like you may have to take it and bide your time. Take them down from the inside ;)
October 9th, 2014
You are on a roll as far as photos are concerned, and it's another fav from me. Love it. As for work, don't you wish you could just tell them where to go. I empathise completely.
October 9th, 2014
looks just like a painting...
October 9th, 2014
Sue
Love it Fav!!! So could understand wanting to tell them where to go! I hope you have some answers soon, which ever way you decide to go. I like Kane's comment, take them down from the inside, best of luck with that.
October 9th, 2014
Loving the pic and the processing, would make a good canvas.
October 9th, 2014
Hi Graeme. We haven't yet met, but I saw your TT photo from a couple weeks ago. It was my favorite out of the whole bunch. And then I perused through dozens more of your photos. Your work is so intriguing - an interesting ebb and flow of incredible beauty, dark humor, and bold self expression. You have gained a follower. I am also interested in what you do for a living since you keep mentioning "clients." I am a Registered Drama Therapist from Kansas. I invite you to visit my work - much different than yours, of course! But, we capture what's surrounds us. :)
October 9th, 2014
Great shot and title…makes the viewer want to say, "Duck!"
October 9th, 2014
Wonderful minimalistic shot....love all the white space & the very fine drawn ducks, you can see every detail ! As for the work situation.....you have to be strong these days......don't let them blackmail you, keep your dignity & you will win!
Fave!
October 9th, 2014
looks even better on black, I am liking these shots of yours of black on a stark white background. they are very striking. sorry to hear about work. it is good to know they want you, but agree with Pat
October 9th, 2014
@pinkpaintpot Thanks very much, much appreciated
@happypat Thanks very much...if I'd started with any dignity I would finish with it as well, but it seem to have misplaced it some time ago ;)
@tasian Thanks very much...I'm saying "duck" far too often as it is...
@kareenking Thanks very much, and for the follow. You'll get used to my bizarre oddities after a while...
@archielogical Thank you most kindly :)
@redpants Thank you very much...only a week to wait for answer apparently, during which time I plan on going slowly insane
@bellshanghai2014 Thanks...I was aiming for a photo but a painting will do ;)
@888rachel Thank you very much...sadly it's not the right job market to be telling them that...
@karlow75 Now that's a plan so cunning you could "stick a tail on it and call it a weasel" ;)
@brigette p.s. Thanks very much again ;)
@annied Thirdwith of course. Naturally. Onewith is the fastest of them all but not often seen ;)
@thistle Thanks you very much - attitude counts for a lot with me and they're fast losing any respect I had for them! Still, today is another day and last night I sharpened my knives...
October 9th, 2014
Awesome, love the white background.
October 9th, 2014
FAV for such a timely capture.
October 9th, 2014
Amazing shot, Graeme. Love the processing.
October 9th, 2014
@andy3168 Thank you very much
@yaorenliu Thanks very much indeed :)
@davie Thanks very much, appreciated
October 9th, 2014
Love this! Sorry work has been such crap.
October 10th, 2014
@rangerxenos Thanks very much - it can only get better
October 10th, 2014
Love, love. The action, the high key, I keep meaning to learn how to do high key!
October 10th, 2014
@graemestevens well I think I would like twothwith with a tawooo added on - then things will really be rollin'
October 10th, 2014
@jess1204 Thank you so much :)
@annied what am I, a duckin' owl???
October 10th, 2014
@graemestevens yeh they spin there head all the way 'round don't they hahahahahaha
October 10th, 2014
@annied I shall ignore your incorrect usage of there and focus instead on spinning my head all the way round. Ouch.
October 10th, 2014
@graemestevens of duck! Duck! DUCK! I hate when I do that because I really ducking hate it when others do it!!!!!!! all I can say is that I am very tired and enjoying wine - no excuse I know - hsit!
October 10th, 2014
@graemestevens oh - dislocate before you turn and then it doesn't hurt as much hahahahahah
October 10th, 2014
Fav! I just adore this high contrast shot, so nicely positioned and shot!
October 10th, 2014
amazing
October 10th, 2014
Very cool shot, not so cool those bosses of yours!
October 10th, 2014
@annied That's where I'm going wrong then...
@overalvandaan Thanks very much indeed :) And no, not so cool
@pittcj17 Thank you very much :)
@lilminimonka Thanks very much - my dumb luck seemed to play a large part ;)
October 10th, 2014
@graemestevens yep - you will get a cricked neck hahahaha
October 10th, 2014
@annied The way I sleep it would make no difference to my posture
October 10th, 2014
@graemestevens hahahahahahahaha - imagining the oddity of that
October 10th, 2014
@annied Unlike my wife I haven't managed the art of sleeping upside down in the wardrobe...
October 10th, 2014
@graemestevens you might try a coffin - I find it quite comfortable - I got tangled in the hangers when I tried the wardrobe ;-)
October 10th, 2014
@annied I have tried a coffin but found that there wasn't enough room for my midnight spasms. I'm also not a big fan of silk and the funeral director couldn't understand why I would to line a coffin with leather, even when I said it was easier to wipe down.
October 10th, 2014
@graemestevens leather - what a great idea - wears so much better than silk and yes - easier to keep clean - pure genius
October 10th, 2014
Beautyful shot. FAV! Advice: burn them all! Not the duck... the others :)
October 10th, 2014
@daneau Thanks very much indeed - advice duly noted ;)
October 11th, 2014
Love this!! Fav!!
October 11th, 2014
@cailts Thank you so much :)
October 11th, 2014
cool processing and great, well timed shot.
October 11th, 2014
@jaynspain Thanks very much

October 17th, 2014
Congrats TT.....getting to be bit of a regular ;)
October 17th, 2014
But mrs @gigiflower is above you.....
October 17th, 2014
@newbank Holy crap...again? Why? And thank you...and @gigiflower alway will be, I am but a lowly male...
@rennes Thank you very much :)
October 17th, 2014
@graemestevens because you're good!!!
October 17th, 2014
@newbank Pfft...thanks but I thought this one was far too normal!!!
October 17th, 2014
@graemestevens you're audience disagrees with you..... Shall I stop caving your work?
October 17th, 2014
What would your camera club cardigan people say about this one?
October 17th, 2014
@newbank faving.....
October 17th, 2014
@newbank The cardigan club would probably disagree vehemently! They don't seem to like my shots...freaks!
October 17th, 2014
FAV and Congrats on TT
