Nah, It's Broken Bro. by graemestevens

Nah, It's Broken Bro.

Technically it didn't break but was dismantled. These are some of the parts from a very old, very damaged camera that we found. I have nothing else for today...just one of those days.
Great capture. Fav

Can't wait to see it when you have cleaned it up and reassembled it.......... Hope you made notes about where everything goes. :)
February 3rd, 2015
you think?
February 3rd, 2015
@losthorizon Thanks very much, much appreciated
@swillinbillyflynn Ummm...yes I did?
February 3rd, 2015
Yep
February 3rd, 2015
I love this! Great, interesting stuff, machinery. The white background is perfect for it.
February 3rd, 2015
Or failing that....... have you thought about going into the steampunk jewellery business. :)
February 3rd, 2015
Maybe you can make something new.

Also. 5 more photos to 365! Woot!
February 3rd, 2015
@brigette I think it's beyond all hope
@aprilmilani Yep. I might be hard pushed to get it together again.
@epcello Thank you very much indeed :)
@swillinbillyflynn Funnily enough several parts have been pilfered by Mrs. S and made into earrings...we have another 5 cameras in the same sorry state so I could make my fortune and retire
February 3rd, 2015
@ludgate Maybe I could make something to control all the mortals...and yes, nearly there...Planning shot 365 as we speak.
February 3rd, 2015
Swillin' Billy may have a point! I see several necklaces and a couple of brooches there! Very cool shot, Graeme! :)
February 3rd, 2015
I don't see a problem here. I'm sure it will go back together very easily, and work perfectly fine when it is. And just remember, you don't have to put all of the pieces back in. They make these things with extra parts.
February 3rd, 2015
@juliedduncan Thanks very much - I can see I'm going to make my millions from this... ;)
@karlow75 So you're saying it's like a generic Swedish flat pack then?
February 3rd, 2015
Now there's your problem....and there....and there....oh and there (she says pointing to parts....).....
February 3rd, 2015
Really good shot Graeme. I hope I can produce a like this when I have "one of those days"!
February 3rd, 2015
@elliotwb Thanks very much - I just couldn't muster the enthusiasm for much more today!
@deak68 Ah...now I can see where I'm going wrong ;)
February 4th, 2015
not broken if you can get it back together! good luck.
February 4th, 2015
@pusspup And there in lies the problem ;)
February 4th, 2015
Great crispness. I took my mom's carburetor apart once because I could. I put it back together too, 4 parts left over its all. Not bad.
February 4th, 2015
@bigugly My theory for taking things apart is "hammer", so it's surprising that there are this many parts left.
February 4th, 2015
good luck!
February 4th, 2015
@lan I think I might need more than luck!
February 4th, 2015
Hard to believe all those parts would fit into a camera. A great idea, and your focus is spot on.
February 4th, 2015
Great title! Super sharp!
February 4th, 2015
@888rachel We were really suprised as well, and there's still more to come out! And thank you
@mhuntphotography Thank you very much :)
February 4th, 2015
Looks like you'll never ride your motorcycle again bro.
February 4th, 2015
@bill_fe I think you may be right - I believe the technical phrase is "it's rooted"
February 4th, 2015
This is really cool! :) I bet these bits and pieces are fun to play with!
February 4th, 2015
@voiceprintz Thanks very much indeed - and yes, especially the tiny little springs that ricochet all over the room as soon as you look at them
February 4th, 2015
@graemestevens Well, that's not a term used here in the US. I had to look it up to find your meaning. :-)
February 4th, 2015
@bill_fe I dread think what Google would produce after you typed in "what is rooted"
February 4th, 2015
Great shot! I like all the pieces surrounded by white. Super clear focus!
February 4th, 2015
maybe if you google you can find the assembly manual? ;p

beautiful black and white work!

February 4th, 2015
yes...but bro, the bits will make great steam-punk stock photos...
February 4th, 2015
So funny!!! A terrific shot, with everything in such clear focus. Great DoF.
February 4th, 2015
Cool shot, lots of interesting bits and pieces :)
February 4th, 2015
@kwind Thanks very much ;)
@northy Thanks very much, very much appreciated - I tried googling "fix my screws"...ummm....
@ltodd That they will :)
@taffy Thank you very much indeed :)
@hermann Thanks very much - and these are just the bits we've removed. We also have another 5 or 6 that we've found...
February 4th, 2015
It does look like a steam-punk collector's dream! Lovely focus on all these details and textures.
February 4th, 2015
@rosiekerr Thank you so much - Mrs. S has already pilfered some parts and made earrings...nothing is sacred.
February 4th, 2015
Good luck fixing that one! :-)
February 4th, 2015
Great composition! Like this in B&W!
February 4th, 2015

Sam

February 4th, 2015
@gigiflower It was your very own suggestion bro ;)

February 4th, 2015
Sam
@graemestevens Yes I know. You didn't read all of my post tonight. I quit my job today.
February 4th, 2015
@gigiflower Guilty as charged - and congratulations as well. You did say that you hoped to make an announcement this week. I'm actually (disturbingly) genuinely happy for you - where are you going? Must be my turn next!
February 4th, 2015
Sam
@graemestevens Thank you. I'm going to a competitor so will be walked out of the office tomorrow after handing in my Company owned assets. Goodbye.
February 4th, 2015
@gigiflower so still travel then?
@graemestevens your turn next Graeme
February 4th, 2015
Love these B+w shots with the white background. I haven't been commenting on your photo's, cause well I think you have enough bloody followers.... Lol
February 4th, 2015
Sam
@annied Very little for work THANK GOD! My boss is in Melbourne and there will be some travel to Sydney and the occasional trip to the US......I can manage that.
February 4th, 2015
@gigiflower sounds excellent
February 4th, 2015
Sam
@annied And I'm hoping less dickheads :)
February 4th, 2015
@gigiflower I certainly hope so - the world needs less dickheads
February 4th, 2015
Sam
@annied We seem to have more and more of them though - they should not be allowed to procreate.
February 4th, 2015
Looking forward to tomorrow's photo when you've re-assembled it to make a cross bow - either that or set fire to it
February 4th, 2015
@karlow75 hahaha ypu made me think straight away of Ikea - always left over bits that left me scratching my head
February 4th, 2015
@gigiflower and yet they do
February 4th, 2015
Sam
@annied Scary isn't it
February 4th, 2015
@gigiflower terrifying
February 4th, 2015
I like this, great focus.
February 4th, 2015
Have fun rebuilding it! Very cool shot
February 4th, 2015
So love all these old things
February 4th, 2015
@gigiflower Well, congratulations - and enjoy that short walk from the office. Relish it :)
@annied Definitely my turn next. Something will come along :)
@mikhasus Thanks very much :)
@roseolivia Thanks but I think I'll leave the rebuild to someone else!
@ukandie1 Thanks very much :)
@rachelwithey No pressure then ;)
@longexposure Thanks very much - there's always room for more...the difficult part is deciphering what some it means
February 4th, 2015
Nice contrasty stuff. As an engineer, my fingers are twitching - want to rebuild it!
February 4th, 2015
Super shot ....not a shadow there to spoil the dark & white!
February 4th, 2015
cool shot.....i wonder how you kept everything so clean.
February 4th, 2015
@joeboo Thanks very much - as a freak of nature I'm hatching bizarre plots for it ;)
@happypat Thank you very much :)
@livvy So do I...and thank you very much
February 4th, 2015
Ever think of using the broken cameras as pinholes?
February 4th, 2015
@ingrid2101 Not until now - thanks. I'll look into that :)
February 4th, 2015
maybe u can sell some of the parts in eBay?
February 4th, 2015
Ah, dismantled that's what you call it. Nice collection of parts.
February 4th, 2015
@joemuli Maybe...then again, I could just make something weird
@overalvandaan Thanks very much :)
February 4th, 2015
Steam punk! Pretty cool for one of those days.
February 4th, 2015
Now, now, there was no need to smash it. You can control those dark leanings, really, you can.
February 4th, 2015
@pixelchix Indeed...so uninspired at the moment though!
@ceilidh It was like that when I got here...
February 4th, 2015
Very cool still life shot, looks awesome in b&w :)
February 5th, 2015
@shawnasays Thanks very much :)
February 6th, 2015
Cool! You have 10 minutes to re-assemble it!
February 6th, 2015
@yrhenwr That would be an instant fail...
February 6th, 2015
Wonderful assemblage of parts.....Seriously, I am really good at taking things apart, too....putting them back together is another matter!
February 9th, 2015
@panthora I can't put anything back together...and things seem to fall apart as soon as I look at them...
February 9th, 2015
Saw this on b&w favourites for the week - I think it's a fab shot - love the white background and all the detail in the bits & pieces!
February 14th, 2015
@quietpurplehaze Thank you so much, appreciated :)
