Interesting duality here, my first though is the survey photography of western US in the late ninetieth century (bar the clouds of course) and this mixes with how surreal or otherworldly this landscape is. Great shot.
Looks like scenery from an old Star Trek episode - original series. Except better. I can even see some mysterious runes on the rock on the right - fascinating! :)
Beautiful layers and mist. Super textured mounds of petrified poo, posing (under an almost perfect cover) as rocks. The curves of the clouds are perfect... you did a nice job arranging that.
