The Rainmaker by graemestevens

The Rainmaker

The weather forecast last night predicted rain, which would be a welcome respite. On the down side this will also mean an increase in humidity and as much as I'm favour of general moistness this is the wrong way to go about it. As for the promised rain, so far todays rainfall level, despite the clouds, has been akin to an 80 year old man with prostate issues.
Ominous and beautiful. Great clarity

Wonderful composition . Such an intense sky!
February 4th, 2016
Love the dramatic sky and pebbled beach!
February 4th, 2016
Love the layers and contrast in this shot, plenty of rocks to stash as ammo too.
February 4th, 2016
The rocks and sky are awesome... Your narrative style nails it ;p

Great pov black. So, how's your prostate?
February 4th, 2016
As a 71 year old man with prostate issues I may not be the one to make the most objective comment on this.... Did you not think of accentuating the clouds a bit?
February 4th, 2016
Very dramatic shot, love the detail of the foreground rocks. And I notice you have used the word 'moist'.
February 4th, 2016
Great shot! 'moist' it is just one of those words isn't it.... ;)
February 4th, 2016
really great image. Though I could've done w/o the prostrate imagery...
February 4th, 2016
Super processing... look at those clouds!! And yes, probably not a good sunbathing beach but first of all, those are some awesome rocks... and secondly who needs to sunbathe really?
February 4th, 2016
@kerosene I never sunbathe. I find the "pale and interesting" look so much more...more...me
@lsquared Thank you and you're welcome ;)
@alinz Moist moist is even better...and thank you :)
@adayinmallacoota Thank you very much - some words deserve to be used as much as possible ;)
@vignouse Oh come on, I gave those clouds the lightest of touches...maybe...
@bill_fe The last time I had mine checked the doctor proudly announced that there was nothing wrong with with the exception of the fingerprints that she'd just left. Slimmer fingers on a lady doctor too ;)
February 4th, 2016
nice lines and you know I love a good rock
February 4th, 2016
@annied I had heard a rumour to that effect...
February 4th, 2016

Sue
Love the contrast between the hard rocks and soft clouds.
February 4th, 2016
Did Bill just say wonderful rocks? Love that tree, too.
February 4th, 2016
Fab cloudscape :)
February 4th, 2016
Our rain level in contrast is akin to a free bar at an incontinence convention...
February 4th, 2016
Superb shot!
February 4th, 2016
@kategoring Thanks very much :)
@jack4john Perhaps we could meet in the middle? We desperately need rain...

@tonygig Thank you very much :)
February 4th, 2016
Do not mock the prostate! If nothing else gets you first then your prostate will finish the job! Fab shot by the way. Love the cloudy stones and the stony clouds.. somehow reminds me of a song by The Incredible String Band.... but you are for too young to know about that!
February 4th, 2016
@yrhenwr I'm not that young - The Half Remarkable Question even...and thank you
February 4th, 2016
Lovely monochrome landscape. I like the detail in the foreground pebbles and the dramatic sky seems to suit your personality.
February 4th, 2016
@dh Thank you very much - are you calling me a drama queen? ;)
February 4th, 2016
@graemestevens Definitely
February 4th, 2016
