Ahhh...black & white. This was taken at Pukerua Bay on the Kapiti Coast. In the distance is Kapiti Island which is one of our oldest wild life reserves. Personally the phrase "wild life reserve" has never made sense to me. After all, if you're wild you're hardly likely to be reserved about it are you?
And yes, I was on my knees yet again for this shot.
Quite nice on black if you have the time.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
Looks great on black. Love that you've included the rocks. I usually shoot past them but it's much more dramatic to include them in the frame. Especially at this time of year! Fav
@katrinanz Thank you very much - these rocks were just begging to be included! @sstcowan Thank you very much :) @888rachel Thank you very much - very rugged and a bit chilly too @kwind Thank you very much :) @bill_fe Thank you very much - once again, on my knees ;) @homeschoolmom Thank you very much :) @tabarlett Thank you very much :) @spanner Thanks very much :) @aikiuser It is that, and thank you very much @harbie Thank you very much - I didn't even try it in colour. It seemed to just want to be in B&W
@swillinbillyflynn I bet they're seething on the inside...and thank you very much @gazdi Thank you kindly my good man, you are nothing short of a scholar and a gentleman @tracie8266 Thank you very much indeed :)
@jack4john That must be why I felt so at home ;) @tonygig Thank you very much :) @candidzen Thank you very much - it's always the quiet ones ;) @sketch2 Thank you very much :) @maree_sanderson A gentle simmer perhaps?
@snaggy Thank you very much - it took me ages to put that island there ;) @domenicododaro Thank you very much, but good lord no...I have my fair share of incompetence! @blueberry1222 We're on a major fault line so... @gamelee Thank you very much - and I like to have my spots to myself ;) @maggiemae I may be a rascal but I'm far from ragged...most days
@tabbycat Thank you (blush). I find B&W a lot easier to "handle" than colour. I tend to look at a shot before I take it and know whether it's going to work in B&W or if it's just going to be a screaming mess of hideous colour.
