Expanse

This was taken at the top of Mount Curl and, while not really a mountain it does offer a view of any approaching enemies. This is where I shall build my lair. At least, it would have been where I built my lair had I not said that this is where I would build it. Bugger.
Aptly named.

Our are you making us think this isn't where you're going to build your lair having just told us this is where you're going to build your lair? So confused. Excellent image though. the scenery is stunning 😌

If you do change your mind, watch out for sneaky enemies slinking up those wooded gullies.

@golftragic There will of course be booby traps...
@paul10 Thanks veyr much - I just like to keep you on your toes ;)

I am trying (and failing) to do landscapes. You make it look easy, you bugger. Nice work.

@julzmaioro Thank you very much :)
@spanner I swear by, and blame entirely, the almost antique Zenitar wide angle that I use for these. It almost doubles the weight of the camera but even I, miserable tit that I am, like the results.

Yes nice work

@brigette Thank you very much. It an horrific drive but worth it for the scenery.

Sounds like you're getting your phojo back
June 23rd, 2016

June 23rd, 2016
@brigette It's lying around here somewhere
@spanner it's one of these: http://www.kenrockwell.com/zenit/zenitar-16mm.htm

Go for the double-bluff. No one would suspect you'd build a lair where you said you would. ;)

Quite gorgeous! Would love to do some hiking here. Those woods look very intriguing!

LOL I was going to comment on your awesome, dramatic shot but your text is just so damn amazing. Stop giving away your secret plans!!

@kerosene There you go then - every now and then I can get it right ;)
@homeschoolmom Thanks very much :)
@kwind Thank you very much :)
@kerosene Since you comment twice, I think I will too ;)
@juliedduncan I wouldn't go hiking here - the banjos roam free and redneckery abounds.
@humphreyhippo I'll thank you to keep that cunning plan to yourself or you'll ruin everything ;)

Very dramatic!
June 23rd, 2016
Taffy describes it perfectly! Plus the black and white enhances the drama.

Great potential, great view, established landscape, what more could you want, oh yeah, running water, garbage pickup just to name a couple. Wouldn't mind escaping there for awhile.
June 24th, 2016
@joysabin It's not well serviced at all which is more than half the charm of the place ;)
@jerome Thank you very much :)
June 24th, 2016
I like this a lot Graeme - it's a very attractive landscape.
June 24th, 2016
