not my normal thing (4) - the long awaited finale.

This should probably be viewed on black if you can be bothered.
This is definitely my favourite from my current "series" of film shots, although it could be argued that as this is the final of the 4 film shots that it is no longer current.
I have decided to rename this series the "crimes against photography" series, however this is not the only thing of which I am guilty, having just completed a 5 hour round trip drive to collect a freshly decapitated cows head from a friends brother. Whoop whoop, one more for the collection.
Positively Hitchcock I'd reckon. Keep you eyes open for psychos or birds.

Very moody! Love the composition.

@golftragic As you're probably aware, it was the psycho that took this shot ;)
@kwind Thank you very much :)

Eerie and uncomfortable, especially the reflection. I don't give this praise easily. ;)
January 7th, 2017
Spooky! Feels like there just was someone (thing?) standing on that bridge.
I'd have been so tempted to shop something into the reflection. ;)

@humphreyhippo After all the time spent digitising I didn't have the heart...but now I might have to revisit it at a later date...
@juliedduncan Excellent - the same thought that I had...now thats spooky

I think my favourite of this series is the pagoda shot (#2 ?). Sorry for the lack of comments recently, between a husband in the hospital, and a cat at the vet, my days have been kind of full. I do applaude the effort involved in resurrecting an actual film camera. I was dragged kicking and screaming into digital photography about 10 years ago. I've found a lot to like about digital and being able to take so many shots without added cost and the ability to just delete the mistakes but sometimes I still miss the more real and hands on feeling of film.

walking in the footsteps of Monet's ghost

I do like this on black. Cool reflections. It does look like something from the distant past.
The cow's head belongs here.
January 7th, 2017
@bill_fe Thank you very much - too late, I've already buried it
@kali66 That's what I kept feeling... ;)
@gardencat Thanks and no problem at all - you're certainly busier than I have been but I hope all is well, or at least getting well

5 hours to collect a head!! Now I do like this photo, but I can't get your head out of my head. Hells Bells!!
January 7th, 2017
As usual, very unique, i just love your peculiar works. Love this shot!!!
January 7th, 2017
Why is this a crime against photography?
January 7th, 2017
Excellent, and very Monet, I agree with @kali66
January 7th, 2017
I can see the Loch Ness Monster!

And I'm sure the cow had it coming.

Thus is so dreamy
January 7th, 2017
Nice, like something from a Victorian era!
January 7th, 2017
the news about the cow's head is somewhat disturbing
January 7th, 2017
That is just so spooky! Now I'm thinking that I should have asked for the head from the newly slaughtered wild boar that we purchased!

@rachelwithey Thank you very much :)
@jesperani I don't know that "enjoy" is the right word but thank you :)

I like it and I have liked the mini series. Worth taking the old camera on an outing. No 2. is the one for me... but you can take another 8 and make a calendar out of them so it looks like the 2016 calendar that is still hanging in my kitchen because I like the old photos so much.
January 7th, 2017
@yrhenwr Thank you very much - I have some more film so I'll get out and about with it at some point. It's colour film as well, so it will be just as shocking for me as every body else.

Sam
This one steals my heart!
January 8th, 2017
Very creepy looking image. The only thing missing is a ghostly woman crossing the bridge. I keep looking but she hasn't appeared yet. Excellent!
January 8th, 2017
@paul10 Thank you very much - she probably hasn't appeared yet because she ghostly ;)
@gigiflower Thats a great shame ;)

Lee
It's interesting how your old camera has produce old looking images and quite spooky too. There are probably some with the latest camera that would go to great processing lengths to achieve this look. A most interesting series.
January 9th, 2017
@gamelee Thank you very much - I have a sneaking suspicion that it could do with a good clean. Having said that, I quite like the results as they are.
