moo by graemestevens

moo

To be honest, I'm almost certain that it's mooing days are over...now safely buried in a section of the garden reserved for such peculiar activities as this, all we need to do now is wait. This one will probably take about 4 months to be ready but will be a welcome addition to the collection when it's done.
I can hardly wait... or perhaps it would be better to wait hardly!

Very interesting!!
January 7th, 2017
You are one strange dude and I say that with my deepest respect.
January 7th, 2017
I daren't ask if you ever dug up that last head you buried, I might have missed it! You have a very weird & wonderful mind!
January 7th, 2017
Somebody wasted the head. It could have made a good meal for a family of eight!
January 7th, 2017
Ah - sweet dreams...
January 7th, 2017
Just love the whiskers on that bovine muzzle. Weird and wonderful at the same time.
January 7th, 2017
and now nature works its magic.
January 7th, 2017
Looking forward to it! ;)
January 7th, 2017
i should really have pocked up that horse head off the beach for you, i keep kicking myself i didnt...
January 8th, 2017
picked not pocked,
January 8th, 2017
Did wonder how you got your skulls...
January 8th, 2017
Yuk!
January 8th, 2017
This is wonderfully twisted and only you could pull this photo off!
January 8th, 2017
oh no. What you have done!
January 8th, 2017
Jae
The flames....hot hot hot!
January 8th, 2017
Oh, dear... so many complex feelings on this. (Note to self: Stay simple...) the focus on the whiskers is great. ;)
January 8th, 2017
How do you preserve them after they are dried it out?
January 8th, 2017
"Holy cow!",... looking forward to see the "processed" head. ;-)
January 8th, 2017
@shylaine3304 I'm only after the skull, so this will stay in the ground for a good four months before I dig it up, clean it off and make it look all nice and friendly
@rosiekerr Thank you and yes, I know what you mean...
@lifepause Now there's an idea...
@yaorenliu I didn't do it, it was given to me for the skull...
@not_left_handed Thank you kindly, I try
@golftragic Yes, but it's buried now, so we're just waiting
@rjb71 Friends in low places...
@kali66 A horse head on the beach???
@juliedduncan It's a long wait for this one...
@deadschool In all its gruesome glory
@jocasta Thank you very much :)
@humphreyhippo You're welcome ;)
@yrhenwr Beef cheeks and all...
@happypat I did dig it up, you did miss it...
@novab Thank you kindly (I think) ;)
@kwind That's one way of putting it...
@vignouse I'm sure...
January 8th, 2017
@mona65 You and me both ;)
January 8th, 2017
yes, dogs kept dragging it around but it was there for a few weeks, i thought of you every time i saw it
January 8th, 2017
I looked and thought it looks like a ..... oh my goodness - it is!!!!
January 8th, 2017
Sam
Oh my LORD!
January 8th, 2017
You bury him in your garden? What other dark secrets are you going to reveal through your project? Still, at least it's a cows head and not . . . human 😱😱
January 8th, 2017
Now I get all the skulls. Too much time on your hands.
January 8th, 2017
Do you go to the bucher shop and ask for a head? I'd like to be a fly on the wall to see that go down 😂
January 8th, 2017
At this point in its evolution of the process, it almost looks angelic, in a dis-embodied head way. Looking forward to shots along its journey of decay.
January 8th, 2017
Mmmmm....this was hard to see, despite knowing it was yours and what you are doing with it. It's compositionally stunning. But pretty unnerving.
January 8th, 2017
@taffy Thank you and yes, for some reason I have mixed feelings on this one as well
@joysabin Thank you and yes, it does look rather peaceful
@shylaine3304 This one came from a friends brother - according to the Home Kill Butcher it's not an unusual request!
@scotthouston It's a hobby...I guess. And it takes surprisingly little time - collect head, bury head, wait, exhume and clean
@paul10 You probably wouldn't be surprised to learn that i'd love a human skull. They're quite hard to come by though and donors seem to be scarce ;)
@gigiflower Yes my child?
@alinz Yes, it certainly is...
@kali66 How bizarre...and slightly unsavoury
January 8th, 2017
better the garden than following the example in The Godfather
January 8th, 2017
@shannejw The thought never crossed my mind, despite having plenty of targets ;)
January 8th, 2017
Nice horns. That will be a good one. :)
January 8th, 2017
@swillinbillyflynn I hope so...he'll have another, slightly larger one for me next year :)
January 8th, 2017
Very intriguing!
January 8th, 2017
@overalvandaan I'm more interested in how it will look in 4 months!
January 8th, 2017
Interesting photo and I look forward to the 'aging" photo several months from now.
January 8th, 2017
@brett101 I'm already itching to dig it up...sigh
January 9th, 2017
You could have called this, "The Zombie Apocalypse Will Actually Be Made Of Cows" Looks like this one is emerging from the ground.
January 9th, 2017
I would think it would take much longer than 4 months to grow a cow tree. But i've always had a black thumb. Thanks for the wonderful work you do, i love the tickling sensation in my imagination!
January 9th, 2017
While on vacation I found something that I think would have made a great gift for you. I was however dissuaded by the potential problems involved in getting it back through customs and the difficulty in the burial processing required, once I got it home, given the frozen nature of the ground around here these days. SO, all I brought you was a picture: http://365project.org/gardencat/365/2017-01-09
January 9th, 2017
@gardencat I see what you mean...
@teiko Thank you very much - I have no idea what the flowers will look like...maybe bottles, or udders...
@ahleena That's a far better title!
January 9th, 2017
Handsome dude/dudess
January 10th, 2017
@annied Dudess apparently...not that I have the udders t prove it
January 10th, 2017
It looks happy.
January 10th, 2017
@graemestevens hahahahahahaha
January 10th, 2017
@bill_fe It should, it's gone to a good home ;)
January 10th, 2017
Man that must be a bit pungent when you "deal" with it... all worth it of course; your commitment is undeniably impressive!
January 11th, 2017
@kerosene It will be very pungent (love that word) in a couple of months...mask required
