well then, that's...ummm...erect

This, like most lighthouses, seems to work quite well on black.
Like the high contrast in this shot!

@brigette I'm a little concerned by the vivid white glow down the left but it is what it is...

May 26th, 2017
Wait ... does your drama slider go to eleven?

In all serious, a great image. Well done.
May 26th, 2017

What are you doing here? I'm trying not to miss you
May 26th, 2017
Could you maybe tamp down that bright glow that's bothering you on the left in processing? The image is striking, but now that you've pointed it out it's bothering me too.
May 26th, 2017
Looks like it's on Venus with that sky.

Ah, the dreaded edge glow - scourge of all of us who like to push the micro-contrasts a bit... it's still powerful and dramatic and merits the usual accolade.
May 26th, 2017
@vignouse Thank you very much - I keep looking and thinking "this resembles a poor attempt at HDR", but I know better so I'm gradually coming to terms with it!
May 27th, 2017
fantastically dramatic
May 27th, 2017
I hear the Bach's Toccata Fugue in D minor when I see this. There is a man scientist inside, yet?
May 27th, 2017
Wonderful drama in the sky and the low pov gives the image a rather mysterious feeling. In the interests of tender readers I shall refrain from cracks about phallic symbols.

@golftragic Thank you kindly although I didn't have you pegged (pardon the pun) as being politically correct
