war...it ain't cool man

One more from The Great War Exhibition. This is also the last of the salvageable shots from last weekends road trip which means that I will have to pick up the camera again. I apologise now.
goodness... that's rather harrowing... and still we do not learn

Wars are such a waste of good lives. WW1 has always seemed to me to be a particularly futile exercise that cut down or damaged so many men for so little reason.

These fit your style so clearly...and convey a strong sense of war's agonies.

The horrors MUST never be forgotten - The perspective is a powerful one. Fav.

@joysabin Thank you very much - and I agree completely
@taffy Thank you very much :)
@golftragic That they are. Surely pillow fights would be much more fun.
@northy I don't think we ever will...because we're humans.

A great image...an extremely sad and gruesome war in a long string of wars (both past,present, and those to come).

@tasian Thank you and yes, I don't think we've seen the last of them and they'll never get "better"
@maggiemae They're incredibly lifelike

The human race is supposed to be the most intelligent creature on this planet, what a joke that is we have not learnt yet that war is futile .

regarding your title, I couldn't agree more. And you image creates a powerful fixed reminder of this.

@helenhall Thank you - I blame Peter Jackson for the shot, it was all his work ;)
@hobgoblin The human race is mired in stupidity and the need to repeat again and again...not in all cases, but certainly in a lot of those that have the power to push the buttons.
@jack4john Thank you very much
@joansmor The graphic ones are the best at getting the point across.

This is quite confronting. Hopefully it make future generations re-think war.

@annied It is a good exhibit, unsettling, gruesome, trying...but worth a visit

Sadly, this is all too real!

@vignouse I think that is the only way to even begin getting the point across...
