The chicken made it, the Pukeko did not.
They all run into the road here too, though I've never seen a dead one...until now.

@taffy Just a touch...if it helps, there's about 12 of these birds living on the wetland over the way from my house and they're all quite happy :)

That's part of life, we call it road kill, and sometimes put it in the pot, but I think its far to flat for the pot Graeme.
