It's been a long day, what with a 3 hour drive at the beginning of it and a 3 hour drive at the end of it as well, and all because we had to go to Waikato Hospital to visit my brother-in-law, a particularly clumsy man who, during his working life as a lorry driver has been known to fall off his truck on 4 separate occasions. On the fourth occasion, on Wednesday of last week, he managed to break his back and now has 6 separate rods "installed" in his spine...so, while he'll have full mobility he will no longer work (at least not in that job) but will no doubt occupy himself with driving the rest of his family up the wall.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
Sorry to hear about your brother-in-laws accident but your picture is a little more cheerer for me as I have never seen such a thing. So very cool. FAV
Another creative shot even in the midst of your sorrow - so sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. No doubt your were very empathetic at the hospital - kind and comforting?
@alinz Damn straight. Sometimes. @paul10 Thanks very much - I'm sure all will be well, I was just the driver yesterday @salza Thanks very much :) @hrb73 Not fun at all, but thanks :) @hobgoblin It's a joke that works though... @365karly1 To be honest, I didn't go in - I was just the driver (and numbers were limited anyway) @blueberry1222 That would just about do it... @cathrinemitch Thank you very much :) @wag864 Thank you very much - I'm sure the doctors know what they're doing @joansmor I'm too interested in my coffee as well - besides which, he's family rather than a friend. @bella_ss I take comfort in him being 3 hours away so that he can't easily drive us insane @jamibann Thank you very much :) @30pics4jackiesdiamond The kangaroo on the left probably looks sad because he's a dinosaur as well...
Does your beach always have ominous clouds? Sorry to hear about the accident - it sounds very serious indeed. But pleased that full mobility will return. You are clearly much more compassionate than you like to portray - otherwise you would never have made the visit. The dinosaurs look suspiciously like toys - surely you have some real bones stashed away somewhere in your tool shed?
@helenhall Most of the time my beach does have a serious array of clouds...that's the west coast of NZ for you... @katrinanz Thanks and yes, you're right...we're still not going to hear the end of it though @domenicododaro Thank you very much :)
Sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. Hope he recovers quickly and without driving the rest of the family up the wall.
Fabulous Jurassic scene. Works well in b&w.
Hope your brother-in-law recovers quickly, so you can give him a kick up his backside for making you drive all the way to that hospital and back. At least you still made it to the beach afterwards, to capture the dinosaur fight !
The poor man, that sounds terrible, I hope he recuperates quickly. In the meantime, looks like NZ is in trouble!
@paul10 Thanks very much - I'm sure all will be well, I was just the driver yesterday
@salza Thanks very much :)
@hrb73 Not fun at all, but thanks :)
@hobgoblin It's a joke that works though...
@365karly1 To be honest, I didn't go in - I was just the driver (and numbers were limited anyway)
@blueberry1222 That would just about do it...
@cathrinemitch Thank you very much :)
@wag864 Thank you very much - I'm sure the doctors know what they're doing
@joansmor I'm too interested in my coffee as well - besides which, he's family rather than a friend.
@bella_ss I take comfort in him being 3 hours away so that he can't easily drive us insane
@jamibann Thank you very much :)
