Guildford. Nothing to report.
When we moved to the UK, where we lived for 7 years, we called Farnborough home, which is about 20 minutes from Guildford.
We always thought that Guildford was a lovely town.
Talk about rose tinted glasses...
As always, your tones in B&W are outstanding. Love this image.

But you've made their graduate sing off the screen. Guildford has one use, it's where I meet my cousin for lunch!!

At least their sculpture is interesting. And your photo of it is impressive.

This was certainly unexpected! Never been there but I always thought Guildford was very upmarket?

I went there once.
You must have used the rose tinted lens for this. It looks rather special.

Love the sculpture. The lady sitting there seems more than unimpressed.

@fjanos Thank you very much :)
@tonygig Thank you kindly :)
@365karly1 I thought so too...taking her surroundings for granted I guess, I'm surprised she's not staring at a phone...
@helenhall Thank you very much - it seemed fairly mundane on this trip
@fbailey We thought that as well - our impression of it this time was that it would very much like to be upmarket...
@pistache Thank you very much :)
@paul10 Thank you kindly good sir
@radiogirl Thanks very much :)
@joansmor It has that going for it...
@robz Thank you very much :)

@graemestevens The young lady sitting at the base of the statue wouldn't be she who you charmingly call 'The Spawn' by any chance?

I like it!

You are off the regular tourist spots, I have never been to Guildford! Sounds like you think it's gone down hill, this looks a nice shot of this sculpture!

@happypat We do that sometimes...this seems to be the only charming part of Guildford...and I use the term very loosely.
@awendes Thank you very much :)
@alinz Thank you kindly :)
@vignouse It wouldn't be - just a random stranger...

@graemestevens Oh... she does look as though she might fit in with your family though - and I bet she's wearing Doc Martens out of sight!
posted October 24th, 2018
@vignouse I should probably try to rustle up current photo of Spawn...
