Someone in another group has kindly informed me that what I do, despite using a camera, is not photography and that I need to "start taking it seriously". For the last few days I've been "clapping back" at him via my images...I'm almost certain that he is now suitably enraged and may even be bordering on apoplectic.

I have gotten this kind of reaction to some of my work although mine is nowhere near as creative as yours. I don't however see where yours is any different than shooting a made up model then editing the daylights out of the face to where there are no pores or wrinkles in sight. editing is as old as photography so tell him to get over it (and have some fun being creative ; )
Many people do have a head only to keep their ears apart. Usually they have a definition for everything and a judgment for all. May the f word be with them...
wow, if this isn't seriously freaking awesome photo editing, I fail to comprehend what would be! I'm sure you can come up with a perfect image to reply ;)
Each to their own. There's many types of photography but you have very creative and artful methods that I wouldn't have a clue how to produce. I like how you've turned their negativity into something positive for your shots! Fav

Oh dear, the lure of sitting back and watching people go apoplectic because of something you are doing on-line, that can have no real affect on them. And then poking them again. It's not nice is it? But so hard to resist.
haha. you go, dirty dog. i always find it a joy to see one of your images of gun-toting mask-wearing bandaged individuals blowing teddies' brains out up there on the top twenty with all the bees, flowers and sunsets :) there is room for everyone, surely to goodness
What a clod!!! I could go further but why bother with twits like that. I am complete and total agreement with all here. Creativity has no rules, limits and is soul food.
