Tea House by grammyn

Tea House

This old house has been a bed a breakfast and is now a tea house. I took my granddaughters there for a tea party once. It was fun!
For the artist challenge and Max Dupain
I love houses like this ... perfect for a family with 3 or 4 children! Beautiful POV and love the b&w for this one. Perfect porch for an iced tea or some good adult beverage in the evening, isn't it?

What a great B&W photo of this beautiful old house, Katy. I always wanted a wrap around porch like that. Nice that it is used for a tea house.

@grammyn Gotta check with my other half before I can commit to that! And now that both kiddos are on the west coast it is not too promising! :)

Beautiful! I love the black and white, but having grown up in a neighborhood with similar homes, I'm curious what color this house is. It's so much fun to "play with color" on these old houses! My parent's house (late 1800s) is yellow with white and burgundy trim.

@marilyn I can always hope! ;~}

Love the wrap-around porch on this olde..the shutters on the windows and especially the dormers..what a lovely home it must have been. I imagine a nice setting inside for the tea room.

I may take you up on that offer Katy:-) with winter creeping in here in Oz, I'm sure a quick trip to the northern hemisphere for a tea party wouldn't be too extravagant :-)

@eudora I used to love old houses like this because I didn't see them very often but now that we live in Alabama I see them a lot.
