Actually there are no special effects here. This is what you get when you take your camera out of an air conditioned car and shoot at the setting sun after waiting a few minutes. To see what it looks like immediately see here. http://365project.org/grammyn/themes-and-comp/2013-08-30
@mikegifford LOL! I was happy to get it sooc for a change.
Answer. I am not sure. Usually I wait until the camera warms up and I have wiped the condensation off the lens before I take a shot. Keeping the camera warmer in the car with it in a camera case might help too. I run across the same thing when I go outside from the house too. It is because of the huge amount of humidity we have here.
@grammyn I would not worry about it to much. You should see all the dust from feeding the ducks and the drops of water I get on my camera. I clean it up when I get home. I know I should be more careful but how. Enjoy your photos like this one as it is terrific.
Wow, love this, it looks like a fabulous painting of the sun exploding in the sky. Great the way the shadowy trees give it definition. I know what you mean about condensation on the lens, it happened when I went to the butterfly farm. It was so hot in there the lens misted up, however instead of working it like you...sigh! I needed that inspiration :)
@silverlight I am so glad you like it. Thanks so much. I don't very often make use of it. The subject has to be just right for the shot to work well. In this case I was lucky but loved the effect.
@grammyn yep...pointillism. It reminds me of a famous painting...Van Gogh maybe? Not sure. Or maybe it was a famous painting with a man making soup, a windmill, a horse on a ferry boat, and some children playing. Hee hee
@grammyn I know Van Gogh did not do pointillism, but yet, that is who I think of when I see this shot. Maybe because it reminds me of Van Gogh's skies...in many of his paintings. I don't know. I am not an art expert. Hee hee! So you were falling for my painting description, huh? Hee hee! Sorry! I will never forget that! It was too much fun! You must come see me again!
@jankoos Is it on your lens? I get it in reverse too when I have been outside and come inside in winter but there are less photo ops inside my house so it doesn't affect me the same way! ;~}
Question - How do you prevent this from happening?
