Tools of the Trade

Most of my spare time recently has been spent working on clothing for grandchildren. My photography has taken a back seat it would seem. My room looks a bit like a bomb went off in it so this is all you get to see of it.
Obviously you can sew and take pictures at the same time. I like it.

My desk area often looks as if a bomb went off on it. It goes with the busy lifestyle. Well yours does anyway. Love this capture.

I love the way, even when you're busy with "other" things, you still manage to get a shot of what you're up to!

I've been away from 365 for a while, but if you are sewing, I'm assuming that your eye surgery was successful! BTW, I think everyone's sewing room looks like a bomb went off in it.... Nice shot.

I love it, Katy. How I remember the days that I spent sewing and using pins like this, still have some I think. Great shot. Your grandkids are lucky to have you sewing for them and that takes priority over 365 for sure. So do you make Halloween costumes for them or back to school things? At least you have somewhere to hide away and come back to. I had to clear the kitchen table all the time and put it back to work on things.

@summerfield Thanks, Vikki! My family does usually come first but it often forces me to be less diligent in other areas of interest for me.

@eudora Thanks Diane. My cataract surgery was a great success but it has actually made sewing more difficult because it is close work and my eyes now see far very well and need glasses for close work which is the exact opposite of what I used to see!

@darsphotos I really appreciate it, Darlene. It is nice to have a room that I can close the door on when I get halfway through the project. I do mostly simnple school clothes and maily for the samll ones! Once they get bigger it becomes more than I want to tackle.

@grammyn It is nice that you do this for the little ones. Keeps you busy and doing something you love. It would be nice to close the door to a few things in our house. Never seems to be enough space. I wish I could sew now to make some cool pants as they are impossible to find. Still warm here.

@darsphotos It definitely keeps me busy! I have to be careful to keep the chaos in one space or it will fill the whole house!
