Well, Hello There by grammyn

Well, Hello There

l was going outside tonight to catch a possible moon shot because once again I have pushed my photography to the end of the day. As l opened the door with camera in hand this little guy skittered across the screen door. He hid high in the corner and my battery was dying. By the time I got back with a new battery he had moved into this much more accessible postion and the rest, as they say, is history!
Yikes! A cute little guy - as long as he stays outside. :)

Your day was like mine though Oscar spotted the squirrel for me. Really nice capture, Katy. How big is this lizard? Looks scary to me but makes a great photo. I would prefer it on the ground and not what looks like above you.

@anazad511 oh Ana I am glad I am not the only one who things he is gorgeous - I do not understand what is wrong with people being scared of nature - I would have been thrilled to see on at my door

@joemuli @summerfield @darsphotos @tunia @kwiksilver Aw c'mon! He was only about 6 inches long! He is a gecko as @espyetta said and he was more afraid of me than I of him. After I was done shooting I gingerly opened the door so he would go back wherever he came from.

@anazad511 @annied Thanks so much both of you! I thought he was gorgeous too! I am not used to seeing these in the wild so it was a nice surprise.

@froggie0628 They are harmelss and probably eat a variety of insects that are more disturbing than they are so I embrace their presence.
September 22nd, 2014
@marilyn LOL! I liked his eyes! ........and the fact that he eats cockroaches!
