My husband taught his African Gray to say that! In addition he will carry on a conversation after he makes the sound of the phone ringing and says hello to include laughing at his own jokes. When I open the outside door he will call the dogs by name, whistle for them and bark like they do. There is a whole repertoire of sounds he makes and he can be very entertaining.
@froggie0628@pasadenarose@mzzhope@olivetreeann@linnypinny@maggotx@kwiksilver@daisyditch@tunia@maggiemae@myhrhelper@darsphotos@francoise@claireuk Thanks so much for all your wonderful commednts about the bird! He genrally will not talk to us if we are in the same room but when in the next room he will not stop talking! He coughs, burps, sneezes and immitates other body noises with great accuracy and, yes, we have to be careful no one with a potty mouth is around him because he learns very quickly. He will be 21 this year and will live to be somewhere between 50 and 70. Thanks especially for the FAV Kathy, Maggiemae, Hope @lauraandthepack and Lin! you helped get him to the PP!
indeed those can talk. once, ex-partner and i were in a store buying a used fridge, the owner had a pey parrot who would repeat what it hears but includes the word "f*ck" each time. :-)
