When A Plan Comes Together by grammyn

When A Plan Comes Together

During this final week of Flash of Red I have posted a couple of reworked from the past photos and a couple of new to the project images. This one was taken today. I did not check the histogram before I shot it but did process it following the basic procedures I have previously mentioned. I increased the contrast by 50% which is usually too much but it seemed to give the exact effect I wanted without blowing out the whites. (actually they are blues and grays) of the porch and siding. Special thanks to the cat for a wonderful position and pose.
Instant fav - love everything about this one (especially the perfect comp!)

Very nice. The cat looks like she has just eaten the canary ;-) Nice that the cat would pose for you. Ours always walks my way when I point the camera at him.

First, congratulations on getting your photo to the PP!!! Very well deserved! Love the high key effect and how the kitty in B/W matches right along with everything else. Many times the shades of colors will show up in a B/W that don't really go well together. You processed this perfectly and made everything match!! Very well done and a beautiful Cat!! FAV!

@linnypinny @jankoos @kandkids @sakphotography @pej @dianen @aikiuser @lesip @tunia @cashew @olivetreeann @cjphoto @dishaparekh176 @janetb @eudora @kwiksilver @vstap @moreyoulessme @darsphotos How can I thank you for your wonderful response to this photo? I was driving by and just happened to see him on the porch! NOT my cat. As I turned around and parked he was still there so I walked across the street hoping for a better viewpoint and praying he would stay there and not run off! Prayer answered for not one but two great poses. Thanks for all the FAVs that helped get this to the PP and thanks to all who just stopped in and took the time to comment and/or FAV! @elatedpixie, @markbuehl
