So Elusive

I have heard this woodpecker, or one of its relatives, off and on all spring and summer as I take my morning walk. On more than one occasion I could pinpoint the tree he was on but never the exact spot on the tree. This morning the stars aligned. I went out to pick blueberries and I heard him tapping on the top of this telephone pole. My camera just happened to be in the car in the driveway so l didn't have to run back inside for it saving precious time. I got several shots before he flew off. It isn't as clear as I would have liked because the humidity in the air created an instant fog on the camera lens that I couldn't completely wipe off.
