90ºF/32ºC just doesn't put me in the mood for Halloween. I like cool weather and cloudy days to signify fall. The decorations are out everywhere but the weather isn't cooperating to suit my tastes.
I feel the same way, mid-October and mid-eighties here as well. I'll take it while it lasts but I too like the chilly October days. Nice entry in the 13 Days of Halloween theme - I look forward to seeing more, have fun!
Definitely fall weather here! The few frosty mornings and cool, sunshiny days have been very nice, but (though I know the farmers are loving it) I could do with much less rain.
@jpvona@quietpurplehaze@maggiemae@summerfield@dyanstevensIt sounds liike the weather is acting up everywhere even down under where you are looking for warmer weather right now. I know it is cooling off as bit for us but I guess I am jiust impatient. Thanks to all of you for taking the time to view and comment. Not my pumpkin Vikki. Snow is one thing we probably don't have to worry about Dyan!
@grammyn I have a question for you, Katy. Do you have any suggestions about when I would be most likely to see some fall color in the Fort Benning/Columbus, GA area? I asked Brandon, my soldier, and he didn't notice last year--understandable as he was in basic training! I know it is hard to predict. I've gone online and they all mention that the warm weather this fall has made it even harder.
@eudora we finally got some cooler weather today and it might help alittle with the color but it is supposed to go back up to the 80s next week. That makes it hard to predict. Possibly within the next week or two. Sometimes we go right from heat to no leaves though with no color to appreciate. Sorry that's not much help to you
@ruthmouch we finally got that in the temperature today and tomorrow but it will be back up higher again next week. Looking forward to when I need to wear a jumper 😜
@grammyn Thanks! That was a help. That is basically what it says online. We were talking to people from western Virginia tonight and the foliage is at its peak there now. Hope it makes its way south. . . .
