World Diabetes Day by grammyn

World Diabetes Day

the theme this year is The Family and Diabetes. A granddaughter with Type 1 and a husband with Type 2 make us aware of the impact this has on a family https://www.idf.org/e-library/epidemiology-research/54-our-activities/455-world-diabetes-day-2018-19.html
I wore blue today and wrote on my hand in response to my granddaughter's request
Katy, check this out. It was on the evening news today. There seems to be some real Hope here. https://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2018/11/14/upmc-childrens-hospital-pittsburgh-diabetes-cure-research/

Hi Katy, yes it runs in our family too so it is there knocking at the door all the time. Hopefully they can make some advances with all the research

My grandmother and father had "old age" diabetes but my sister (the middle of 3) is pre-diabetic (I think that's what she called it). So we're all being effected by it in some way. Joining with you in hoping!
