We have had a couple of days of cold weather for us and it has increased our backyard bird population. I believe this is a red winged blackbird There were probably a dozen of them resting in the tree and availing themselves of the bird feeder this morning. They also seemed to like the scratch I threw out for the chickens
It is a red-winged blackbird in his non-breeding colors. I had to look it up because I’ve only seen them in the breeding season when they are all black except for the red wing patch.

Great capture and he looks happy. We have had a lot of birds too. Weather here has been sunny and warmish in the sun if the wind is not blowing. Temps dropped into the 30's at night so it is cold to us.
@ruthmouch My pleasure. The red doesn't show up well here because it was out the kitchen window and there is less red when they are not breeding i think
