The point leg is the leg on the end opposite the keyboard. This is an underside view of it where it attaches to the piano
"The treble and bass legs are attached to the bottom of the keybed, and the point leg is attached to a small platform that is found under the tail of the piano. The legs of the piano must be sturdy in order to support the full weight of the instrument – which can weigh over 1000 pounds. The legs are made of solid wood - usually a hardwood such as birch or maple."
I would never have guessed there was so much detail, and information, about a piano. I would also love to have seen the position you got into for this shot!
Wow--I never thought about how much weight that back leg must support--or that it is called a point leg. I think you said at the beginning of your series that you had moved this piano several times? Amazing! And amazing photo from a difficult angle.
