Here's what I discovered when I went back to school as a married woman with kids -- I wasn't worried about having a Friday night date like the other students were.
Those look like tough classes. Good to see you again on 365. I like what Tunia @tunia said; when I went back, one of my professors told me how nice it was to have people of different ages and stages of life in her classes.
I do not miss it Katy. That was probably the hardest period of my life. I had to work full-time, school and of course family. Not easy but you must do what you need to do. Keep up the good work
@kwind i’m glad you like the photo and appreciate your nice comment. It is a lot of work and hopefully will be worth it in the end. @tunia i’m not worried about having a date on Friday night either! I am worried about Rico and retention at my age, however! @eudora last semester I was in classes where I could see the professor and I didn’t mind that so much. Everything from here on out is online so I don’t have that human contact. It’s a different world for me. @ludwigsdiana there are many days when I wonder what in the world was I thinking but I am still hanging in there. Thanks Diana. @mcsiegle I truly appreciate all that support Mary. There are days when I wonder about it all. Thank you! @digitalrn I have a whole new respect for people like you because of this. Thanks for the encouragement Rick.
Yay education. Few things are as exciting. And I think I value this aspect of life above all others (guess it's no surprise I ended up in education...). The detail I love in this so representative picture is the pencil sharpener (probably because my parents had one sort of like that in their office).
I don't know how they do it either. It was hard enough to go to college and work a part-time job (no family). Kids are more than a full-time job. Great shot of your life.
@francoise LOL At my age few things as stressful either! If it were just for the sake of learning it would be so much more enjoyable. l am taking courses I can finish quickly but have zero interest in them which makes it more difficult too. Thanks for the positive support, Francoise
You have some very challenging courses there- haha- some of them look as hard as Greek and Hebrew! Hang in there Katy- it will come to an end. It's too bad you can't take more courses that you're interested in. I had to press through the courses I wasn't interested in too- it's just the nature of mandatory courses for a particular degree. But you might be surprised at where something you learned comes in handy. That was a the case for me with a couple classes. We're all rooting for you!!
@olivetreeann Sometimes it feels like Greek to me! I can’t imagine having to actually study all of that. However I feel like I do better with words than numbers and I’m taking accounting this module which is a real challenge. I forgot to tell you thank you for the FAV on my other photo. And thanks again for the encouragement ❣️
