Big Shoes to Fill by grammyn

Big Shoes to Fill

My mother and I were not really the same size ever but when she passed away I still wanted some things that were hers. Her feet were a little smaller than mine but l decided to keep these shoes anyway. To my absolute surprise they fit me perfectly and I was honored to wear them the day I walked on stage to receive my college diploma. It was as if she were there with me.
Nice pic, caption!

Gives a completely different slant on the saying, to stand in someone's shoes! I can understand totally!

Ohhh, what a great story. Even when I was my mother's size, I wouldn't have been able to wear her clothes! She was a petite if there ever was one! But I do have one sweater vest that was hers which if I knew how to knit, I'd turn into a pillow cover. I like this shot too because even though the shoes are on the ground by fallen leaves, they don't look abandoned. Very symbolic considering the story that goes with them!
