My friend Kathy @randystreat recently posted a shot of some gingersnaps she made. She mentioned they were from an old cook book of her mother's. I said I have the same book. I know I have had this for at least 40 years but it might not be as old as her mother's. I think the recipe might be the same though!

I have the same cookbook- although not the same age as Kathy's mom's. Mine was a bridal shower gift- and is now 48 years old (o: My favorite recipe in the cookbook is the apple crumb pie- a family favorite at Thanksgiving and throughout the year.

@joansmor i got rid of most of mine too but have kept this and Betty Crocker
@wakelys I agree but sometimes it is quicker to find a recipe on the 'net

@kjarn IT was a ladies magazine for decades here and may have eventually become a TV show as well but I don't remember it if it was
@ludwigsdiana They are a favorite of mine as well and I think these might be softer than the commercially made ones which are usually very brittle in this country
@louannwarren I have gotten rid of many of mine but have kept this one and my Betty Crocker
@tunia I haven't used it as much as my Betty Crocker one so it is in better shape
