A Moon For Maggiemae by grammyn

A Moon For Maggiemae

Following a discussion about the difference in the appearance of the moon between the southern hemisphere and the northern hemisphere with MM after she posted her shot http://365project.org/maggiemae/365/2016-04-09#comment-25204893 I went out to take this shot to show her how ours looks tonight. Fascinating to us if to no one else.
Great shot!!!

Ah there it is! My muse (commonly known as a husband) is lost too with this dilemma! I wonder who can disclose this mystery - beautifully focused by the way!

@maggiemae I am not even going to try and understand it. I will just be in awe of it. Thanksa lot for the inspiration and nice comment.
@lesip LOL! I appreciate that my friend. Thanks so much.
@marilyn So nice but it is really the programs that do all the work .
@dyanstevens Thanks Dyan. Always something to discover on 365.
@judithdeacon Thanks bunches Judith. I thought it was fascinating too.
@paulavdmerwe Thanks, Paula. I imagine you see it the same as Maggiemae don't you?

in 2014, sally @salza and i did a similar thing, just out of curiousity and MB @espyetta showed the photos to her students. see here: http://365project.org/summerfield/365-still/2014-04-12

it is quite fascinating, isn't it? and i love crescent moons, but then you already know that of me. very nice shot, girlfriend!

@summerfield I didn't realize it had been done already and althought we didn't do a collage the differences are even easier to see with the crescent I think. I had thought about it when I was in Africa but the sky was always overcast at night while we were there. I think this worked out much better anyway. Thanks for all your support and always kind comments.
