Hi Madeline - thanks for putting this into the challenge - I was really interested in how slowly you move the light source to do this - 8 secs is a very long time - do you have to move it really slowly to make it appear. It's a great effect -sort of like a b&w fireworks shot.

@robz Ok, to answer the how-to on this one...not so much moving slowly...too slow and there won't be enough light. This is really a trial and error thing and also depends on how far/close you are to the camera lens. I was in a dark bathroom, so really very close. You have to make sure you are actually getting the light across the camera lens in your movements. I also used a small mag light as I was told that LED lights would be too bright..but again, I was very close. good fun though, and always comes in handy when you can't think of anything else to shoot!

@granagringa Thanks for all of your tips. In a dark room I can make the camera do up to 15 secs so this should be possible for an experiment. I'll have a go - thanks for your thoughts! Cheers
