Solitary Walk by granagringa

Solitary Walk

Salem, Oregon's Union Street bridge was built in 1912-1913 as a railroad bridge but is now a pedestrian bridge over the Willamette River...usually with a full brigade of cyclists, joggers, birders, strollers....but on this day it was amazingly empty...I had to wait on the beach below for a solitary walker.

Love it - I like the way it's almost but not quite a silhouette, and the varying contributions of the metal structures.

Excellent subject for a silhouette. I like how the strong lines dwarf the walking figure.
