"Done correctly, white on white can be really stunning. Done incorrectly, it's still a valuable learning experience." David Peterson
I'm at the valuable learning experience level. Lots of blues in my first attempts at white-on-white. Lots of work to do on lighting and exposures. Granted, right now the only light I used was an overhead at a dining room table and a flashlight suspended from a cardboard box...and I guess I'd better read more of those tips and tutorials on line.
Not sure why I got such blue tones in this...so any help would be greatly appreciated and...
More kudos to those who do this so well. For example @cjphoto for his current month of white and @farmreporter for her push challenge
@maggiemae Thanks ...you are right about the shades of white. I tried several different white balance adjustments and tried a custom white balance but still need to learn more about setting that up. I actually like the shading on this, but would like it better if I could control it more!
@jesperani Thanks for the cool comment. I actually like this shot too and after watching some youtube videos realize that I need a better setup to get the white-on-white. But it is so much fun trying!
Love this shot! Looked at the photo before I read the title or description and was admiring the nice blue tones - would never have known anything was amiss if I hadn't read that it's supposed to be white on white :)
@anoptic Hi...sorry it has taken me so long to say thank you for your comment. I really like the blue tones and lines of this shot, too, Now if I can only figure out a)how to white-on-white and b) how to get these great blue tones when I want them! :)
