Jacket by granagringa

Jacket

Based on a photograph by Keith Collie - from his "chairs" series.
I first saw Collie's shot in a photography book, in the chapter of capturing form. In the book, the shot is a low key shot, which I tried to emulate. The web picture is not so dark.
See original here: http://keithcollie.com/kc/chairs/
Neat shot, lighting

Pretty good copy - as you say you could have lightened it a bit and the jacket was hanging on the back of the chair so beautifully - a suit jacket I think. Thanks for the link to this photographer!

Thanks for putting up the link - I liked his geometry folder - and the loo in the "chair section" LOL!. You've got a great idea - trying to achieve a similar concept to one you like from his portfolio.

The low POV and the natural light coming from the right work so well to capture the form. Yours has more character than Collies. Fav

@yrhenwr Wow, David, thank you! Saying my shot has more character than the original Collie shot is just putting this incredible smile on my face as my head expands a bit!!!

Such neat shot. I like the natural side light as well. The way it defines parts of the subject while leaving others in the dark is so striking.
