Per the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, the Great Egret is a large white Heron. This shot was taken at the local duck pond. I believe this is the same one I took photos of last year. He gets up really close to the folks that are fishing, waiting for them to throw fish to him.
Due to problems with the website, I was unable to upload photos or view and comment on photos last night. Hopefully, I will be able to catch up tonight.
