We were taking a drive on a country road looking for something to take photos of. Saw some cows and pulled over, then a swarm of grasshoppers jumped up into a little bush. This is a shot of two of them. There must have been hundreds of them. The wind was blowing the limbs around, but I managed to get this shot. I liked how the evening sun was shining on them.

Your photo is so good it gives me the creeps. I care not one bit for those things, especially since I was out at a small country bar once and one flew into my hair and would not come out. I think I made a new line dance that night.
@yonnie Thank you for your comment. They were very still once they got on the bush. I think they were getting out of the wind and away from me. They probably thought they were hidden.

Well spotted! I love that look of the bottom hopper....it's like he's telling you something like..."what are you doing here?" .... "go away we need our privacy" .... you just have to wonder what they're thinking ;-) Excellent capture and composition. Love it.
