View large if you can. Whatever this liquid is on the Sunflower, it produced it, I never realized that Sunflowers did this. It is really HOT and dry in the Fort Worth area today. I did not spray anything on it. Found growing alongside the road.

Love this. It is a nice close up with great lighting. I used to live in Kansas and remember the sunflowers with fondness. Going to San Antonio in September, so looking forward to seeing some of Texas!
Oh i have to Soooooo Agree with you!! It is so hot this week! i have not even left the house since Thursday!!! And if i sit outside,,Steve has a couple of fans on me!! lol...im so spoiled!! He still feels guilty for making me move here from N.Y.!! I really take advantage of it! lol...just kidding!! Beautiful shot of the Wonderful SunFlower ...These are my favorites! :)
Fabulous, Linda. Amazing color. Today as we were driving on the freeway we passed a field of sunflowers and it was odd but some of them were A WHOLE LOT TALLER than others. I have never seen that before.

@frankhymus Someone said it was oil coming from the seeds. I have never seen anything like this and my mother always had sunflowers in her flower garden.
