View large if you can. This photo was taken in Arkansas. I did not get to take as many photos as I would have liked, of course. Love these butterflies.
Sorry that I have been away for so long, just having a few health issues.
Thank you for viewing and commenting, I appreciate it.
Linda, happy to see you are back again. I love your photos and you are such a nice person, too. Sorry to hear of more health issues and will pray for your recovery. Naturally this one is a fav....absolutely beautiful in every way!
What a beautiful shot, LInda. Love the detail you captured. I hope you feel better and had been thinking about you. Have been in overload with friends and family issues. Finally something really wonderful happened and now a second thing, you have returned. I have to post and comment. I will get back to it, just not much time right now. Will try to keep up with you and hope you can hang in. FAV for this photo.
Sorry to see you have not been feeling up to par and hope you're feeling better every day. This photo is stunning! I love the colors and how the butterfly stands out against the greenery. fav!
@cindymc Thank you very much for your comment and the fav! This butterfly was in my father in laws yard. They have had rains and everything is green and still have flowers there. Where I live in Texas, it is just brown, no flowers close by, too hot to get out to take nature shots.
@cimes1 Thank you for your comments, the fav and the prayers. I appreciate the prayers. Hopefully, when I go to the dr. next week, he will be able to help me.
@darsphotos Thank you for your comment and your fav. I am going to try to hang in here. I have an appointment with a doctor next Friday, hopefully, he will be able to help. If not, I will go back to my primary dr. and ask him to find someone.
@olivetreeann Thank you for the comments, well wishes and the fav, Ann. This photo was taken at my father in laws and everything is green, as they have had rains, where we have not.
Just found your butterfly image on the Favourite photo of the Week thread. You are very good at this subject, I could learn from you, hence the follow... Here is my very first effort from a few days ago: http://365project.org/julieco/365/2013-09-02
@julieco Thank you for the comment and compliment. I followed this one around quite a while, took a lot of shots of it and this was my favorite one. This was taken in an opening where there were a lot of trees around and the lawn was green, hence the green background. Taken in the morning light. I prefer morning and evening light for taking my nature shots. I have learned a lot from the people on this site. Someone was kind enough to recommend Digital Photography by Scott Kelby and it has been a great resource. The photo that you said is your very first effort is very good. Thanks for the follow.
