I forgot to ask my friend the name of this plant/flower. If I think of it, I will ask her tomorrow. My husband was putting her new patio set together for her, after I took her to town. She does not drive. It was 1 year ago on the 5th that her husband passed.

@sangwann Thank you for your comments. This flower is on a stem (or bush, as it is with a lot of them) and stands between 3 and 4 feet tall. Some people guessed Phlox.
@ninaganci Thank you for visiting and your kind comments. People do forget and so many will stop checking on widows or people that have lost loved ones. Today, we (my husband included) went to a warehouse club shopping, then shopping for her some dress sandals.
@happypat Thank you so much for visiting and commenting. I believe you and Pyrrhula are correct. I looked at the link sent by Pyrrhula and some of them match and the heights are in the correct range. We were so busy today when we went to town that I forgot to ask my friend if she recalled the name.
