Outdoor Kitty we call him, no idea of his true name. He is waiting on his breakfast while I take the dog out and water a few plants. Then I feed him and finish watering the plants. He waits by my back door every day for food.
He acts like he was once well petted and probably a lap cat..
Thank you for viewing, commenting and the favs for my previous photos, it is very much appreciated.
@sangwann Not a stray. He belongs at the house behind me. The daughter moved away and left him, the man is gone for a month at a time driving a big truck, a woman is there but apparently does not feed the cat. When the man is home, the cat does not visit us.
@vernabeth He does miss his former home, he tries to come inside my house, but since I do not know if he has been vaccinated, he can not be allowed in around our kitty (she hisses at him through the windows).
@ninaganci@craftymeg It breaks my heart that his mommy moved away and left him with his granddad, because the woman that lives there apparently does not feed or pet him or allow him inside. Only when the man comes home does he stop coming over. We can't allow him inside because we do not know if he has had his shots.
This cat is as good as abandoned. Thankfully it has you to take care of it- but what if the man moves on too? I think he/she needs a new forever home now. I'm glad you're doing a little something about. Around here people just completely abandon them and they become feral.
@olivetreeann I fed him at 3 am again this morning when the dog wanted outside and again around 8 am when I took the dog out again. He heard me talking to Dusty and came mewing over, gave me head butts as I was putting down his bowl of food.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful portrait of the outdoor kitty you talked about. Such a cute and beautiful one ♥ But his eyes look sad somehow :'( And the story behind is sad, too.
He is lucky to have you! You really have a good heart.
Have you ever had the opportunity to talk to the old man or the woman, or are you out of touch? I don't know the circumstances - maybe it was the best decision to let him in his familiar territory. But I absolutely don't understand why he is not allowed to stay in the house if he wants to. And why this woman seems not to feed him. Poor cat.
