Remember, remember,

the Fifth of November...

This was our first Guy Fawkes night, we took in the fireworks display at the local rugby club.

I normally do a really bad job photographing fireworks and this night was no exception. Most of the shots were out of focus, had blur due to camera shake, or both. In my defense, there really wasn't anywhere to set up a proper tripod, the fireworks were really too close to be well captured by the 50 mil I had with me, and to top it all off there was an annoying net between us and the display. Live and learn (and vow to scope out the location ahead of time in the future).
... but a true photographer will find another capture or perspective, which you did nicely. I like it.

This way the fireworks are an interesting background with the main subjects being the people in the foreground. This makes it a nice image.

@dkbarnett @sunshinepix Thanks for the words of encouragement! I do tend to get down on myself for the images that didn't work out instead of focusing on the ones that did. ;)
