An Abstract

photo 304
In Primary

1: Break up crayons into paper cup.
2: Nuke for 4 minutes.
3: Pour onto paper plate and let harden.
4: Fill plate with clear soda (like Sprite).

This was in response to a challenge issued me by Shanne: An Abstract In Primary Colors a couple of weeks ago.

@shannew Thanks Shanne, I agree about the bubbles! Like with many of my experiments, it took me a while to "evolve" to this :)

@sjodell Thank you Sarah! :)
@stoat Ok, it went like this: I needed to create a quick primary color abstract because I had forgotten to get it done a couple of weeks ago. As I am "trapped" in my resort room, the only thing I had of primary color were crayons. So I began arranging them in various order and nothing was popping, except when I placed them under the microwave plate (seen here: http://365project.org/grizzlysghost/furkids/2012-06-30). That got "microwave" stuck in my mind so I figured, why not melt them and see what happens? So I did just that and poured the mess onto a paper plate. After the mess hardened, it was very dull and not at all shiny, so I filled the plate with water. Now it was shiny, but still not all that interesting. I had some Sprite in the refrigerator, so of course that was the next logical step. And presto, there you have it :) LOL

ooooooooh,very good.i imagine a few people will be "nuking" crayons in the near future.

OH my goodness, this is so cool! (And I'd call this chemistry-related, so of course I love it).

Playing off your comment above... your Get Pushed week 6 challenge is: FIRE. Go buy some matches. (be safe!)
