Poor Bennett just got back from his THIRD torn nail; that's three surgeries for three separate torn nails! They just can't stand up to 107 pounds of puppy!
Not sure if you can see it, but he has one of his little running boots on his foot to protect the bandages. He's NOT a happy camper right now :(
I am now selling some of my prints!

That's a whole lot of puppy!!!!! I have three dogs, and pick up dropped nails all the time. Had a torn nail recently on my 20 lb Marlie.....we got thru it without the vet, thank goodness..... get better Bennett!
@rockinrobyn Haha, never Bennie... nor Bernard :) His "real" name is "Summit Farms Benn There Done That" but "Bennett" is so much easier to say! He will take all the smooches he can get! :) @welcometocarolworld Lucky you Carol! I wish they would just snap off, but they rip completely away from the cuticle most of the way to his knuckle! Ugh, I cringe just thinking about it! Maybe some hobbles are in order ;)
I thought he was making a fashion statement. The poor guy. I hope this is the last he breaks. It must be painful. And how do you get him to keep the boot on? My dog would eat it.
Aww, poor baby! I'm impressed that he leaves the bootie on! I'd love for Murphy to wear booties during the coldest part of our winter - his pads stick to the ice and salt from the sidewalks is really irritating.
@rockinrobyn Ugh, I know! Bennett's are just now growing back, and I should trim the rest of them today before he tears another! Torn nails can turn into a much bigger issue if not taken care of swiftly. Good luck!
